When I started the Alt1 project the essence of the sound was oldskool rave, hardcore, hard house influences etc, this involves lots of sampling from old rave and hip hop records, some tracks have samples from 2-3 different tracks in them.

This in turn opens a Pandora’s box with clearance issues, some of the tracks have been impossible to clear for official release, there is lots of official tracks coming on Armada and other cool labels, but throughout the year I will be doing a few Alt1 Soundcloud drops featuring the ones I couldn’t get over the line for clearance, enjoy them, free downloads enabled, let the bass be louder ! 🫠
