Smash TV released their debut Get Physical album last spring, and since then the remixes have been pouring in. This batch of remixes comes from Yousef, DJ Linus, Alland Byallo and a Smash TV 'Bareknuckles Edit'. The Yousef remix sets a deeper tone with thick chords and bustling percussion. The 'Bareknuckles Edit' sends a retro vibe and raises the energy quite a bit, making it perfect for the floor. DJ Linus takes a bouncing bass line and build on top of that, creating a dynamic range of sound and energy while Alland Byallo throws the grime and dirt into the mix and makes a heavy track thats delightfully rough around the edges. Eli & Fur, aka Eli Noble and Jennifer Skillman, have been making a name for themselves on the London DJ circuit of late, and putting out a string of fresh and exciting singles, including “Seeing Is Believing”, their excellent collaboration with Shadow Child. “Feel The Fire” is a tougher, harder-edged take on their typically melodic sound, and works wonders with their ethereal vocals. 

A memorable moment from Anjunadeep 06, the energetic original mix has been a mainstay in James Grant and Jody Wisternoff’s DJ sets this year. Fellow rising stars Journeyman take on remix duties, stripping down the peak-time power of the original for a more mellow rolling style, with a buoyant groove carrying the track through flowing chord stabs and the distinctive vocal hook.

Jamie Jones launches his new subsidiary label of Hot Creations, HOTTRAX with a three track EP of upfront dance floor business. The label will be dedicated to a more underground dance floor orientated aesthetic, only for the headstrong!

This three track features phenomenal 'Changes'. Jamie has championed it all summer and as soon as you hear it you'll realize why. It's a heady hypnotic brew of oscillator-funk and ghetto-groove, arpeggiating synths bubble hypnotically under the rising ebb and flow of the melody as infectious groove drives you on.. the truth is we are all going through changes!

On the flip and Jamie jacks the groove on the 'Road To The Studio'. Incessant chanting and looped vocals are cleverly layered upon each other creating a impending sense of explosive anticipation as the rhythm effortlessly builds to maximum effect. Finally, the irresistibly charming 'No Rush' plays upon retro garage feel while the minor keys serve to create a sense eeriness on the floor. A great closure to a superb three track EP, and what a way to kick off the new label in style. Watch out for HOTTRAX releases in 2013.

Jamie Jones 'Change'

Life and Death Podcast Number Two by Tale of Us is a true psychological menace for those who conceive dance music as a monotone sound attitude. It has been recorded LIVE (no ableton, no post-production) on Friday December 31st 2010. We decided to publish this great podcast right before Tale of Us debut in a Life and Death party in Milan together with Clockwork, Tennis, Thugfucker. 

Tale Of Us is the new unique Berlin based sound scape project of Karm &amp; Matteo Milleri.
Both originally hailing from outside of Europe, Karm was born in Toronto and Matteo in New York, they moved to Milan while very young and this is where they met and formed the working bond that they now share. At the moment they are living out of Berlin an inspirational frontier that is allowing them to enlarge their bonds.
Their music and productions are a mixture of new sounds and genres ranging from pop to house, nu/disco to rock with everything in between,that can make people dance feeling their deepest emotions come alive.

 
The first full debut release of the duo will be out on 'Visionquest' (Label of Seth Troxler, Ryan Crosson, Shaun Reeves &amp; Lee Curtiss) in Spring 2011 whilst tracks already appear on labels such as 'Barraca Music', 'Cocoon' and 'Life and Death'. Various collaborations took place in 2010 alongside fellow 'Visionquest' label mates Shaun Reeves &amp; Ryan Crosson for critically acclaimed remixes and EP's. In particular the Tale Of Us remix on 'Life and Death' (Thugfucker - Disco Gnome) has seen them achieve much praise, airplay and success in record sales.
