Rejected welcome Greek DJ/Producer Stelios Vassiloudis to the family with his superb label debut. 'Ricochet'.

Made on the move, as he trekked back and forth between Europe and South East Asia, both tracks share a sense of raw dynamism that is reflective of the touring and immediacy of Stelios' mobile production setup. Less is more as they say, and this is never more pertinent than in the creation and sound of both 'Keluar' and 'Thick And Thin'.

Keluar, or 'Get Out' in Malay, forcefully issues its order via its thumping kick and rubbery bassline. Spring-loaded percussion snaps and fires as Stelios ushers in waves of synth and wails of vocal, before hurling us back into its heads-down groove.

On the flip, 'Thick And Thin' teases us. Living up to its name via its stocky, thundering opening before blooming via its rippling atmospherics and chopped vocal, to become a beautiful deep house tool.

Elvin's sound is a transcendent blend of classic and modern techno and house infused with the soul of early Detroit and Chicago, enriched by mesmerizing dubby synths, tribal percussion, and potent basslines which forge a soulful take on machine music. Her performances are a testament to her ability to synthesize the energy of the crowd and the ambiance of the venue, crafting an immersive experience that goes beyond the ordinary. She knows her tunes, she knows her sound, she knows her craft, and she has the confidence to carry it.

SEVEN House Mix 004: Elvin

LYTH is my mix series exploring different shades of HOUSE music.
The name comes from lithos, Greek for “pierre”. It reflects a desire to build something solid and grounded in groove.

Tresor resident DJs LNS and DJ Sotofett have for some years been developing a style at the club's Globus floor, and their new EP is a die cut of exactly the classic techno, electro, and house music they play. Here are no productions drenched in reverb, no hi-fi obsessions or generic algorithmic patterns – this is Globus Trax, the duo's third release on Tresor Records, four tracks consisting of real TR-909 workouts, rude and driving basslines, live runs through the mixing desk, and a Blake Baxter cover version with LNS on vocals. 
 
LNS & DJ Sotofett programmed an EP to perfectly fit their warehouse style of DJing, bringing out colour and variation in a spectrum more similar to a club compilation than a dogmatically reduced concept. With a single repeated vocal sample, Globus Trax opens bombastically with ClickClickClick, a dub-infused UK garage house track anyone in the world can easily describe in the course of a second.
 
Following this comes Gearbox which is a hefty slab of big room electro featuring a centerpiece arpeggio and the warmest harmonic pads on the EP's four tracks, which not-so-subtly makes reference to the pioneering band that shares a name with Globus and Tresor's home, the Kraftwerk. 
 
The house vibe returns on Destination 909, which is nothing but a manifesto for the TR-909, where the beloved drum machine's jacking beats meet galactic strings and synthetic bass, only to be ripped apart in a slamming break that sees the machine take centre stage as it cuts in-and-out of the mix, again a clear nod to the duo's sets in the club.
 
LNS steps up on vocal duties and DJ Sotofett keeps the 909 running for their final cut, taking a deeper dive into the realms of classic techno and paying tribute to "The Prince of Techno" Blake Baxter by covering his Reach Out originally released on Tresor Records in 1995.
 
The 12" was cut by DJ Sotofett himself at Manmade Mastering, where he resurrects the lost art of late-90s loud cuts with sonic presence and punch, optimal for the club-focused 12" format, and is the first to come in the new Tresor Sleeve, boasting an embossed logo on either side.

PERRA INMUNDA is a Colombian musician, DJ and performer based in Berlin. Their DJ career began just two years ago, with a debut set on HÖR and a signing to the Live From Earth collective. Since then, they’ve played some of Berlin’s most respected dancefloors, including RSO, Oxi, OHM, Aeden, Watergate and Panorama Bar. International shows include Blitz in Munich, Elysia in Basel, Fuse in Brussels and Lo-Fi in Amsterdam as part of the ADE 2023 Live From Earth showcase. Perra’s sets blend the melodic flow of house with the punch of Latin percussion, drawing from their Colombian roots and the energy of European club culture. 

This set was recorded at the artist's home with the first rays of spring sunshine streaming through the window, thinking ahead to summer. Happy gay house :)

SEVEN x HÖR Berlin 2025: Carmen Electro plays House

Our latest compilation features seven artists: Mirko Loko, Fitzherbert, Works Of Intent, LEVOS, Hilit Kolet, Monfort, and Marco Bailey.

Mirko Loko, a prominent Swiss talent, known for his work as resident DJ at Couleur 3 and Loft Electroclub, and artistic director of Polaris festival, contributes "Mind Your Step." His releases include those on COD3 QR (under the alias Bel Air Ltd.), Planet E, Border Community, Cocoon, and Visionquest.

Fitzherbert, a producer and DJ, began his musical journey at age 9. After gaining attention as part of the duo Lakechild, he brings his solo sound, blending disco, funk, house, and techno. His previously self-released "Short Trip to Space" is now featured on COD3 QR.

Works Of Intent, a UK-based mix-engineer-designer-essayist and activist, offers productions rooted in the UK underground with techno and pop influences. A master of live edits and four-deck wizardry, he is also project manager of DAYTIMERS and a designer and mix engineer. His track on the compilation is "Erase It."

LEVOS, a rising Australian talent from Sydney, is known for his record label and party series CG Discs, and explosive DJ sets. He also pushes the Sydney dance scene with Jazz Doof parties and performs live as Flux State. He brings a D&B touch with "Hood Oos" to COD3 QR.

London-based DJ and producer Hilit Kolet, a classically trained musician and veteran of Black Market Records, delivers high-octane DJ sets and sharp productions. Her track "Sunbed Tripper" features the spoken words of Juliet Mendoza.

Monfort, the new alias of Spanish producer and DJ Albert Salvatierra, makes his COD3 QR debut with "La Musique." His sound emphasizes strength and precision, crafted for both dance floors and attentive listening, with this track showcasing a more introspective approach.

Marco Bailey, a Belgian techno luminary with over three decades in the industry, contributes "Sweet Irony" to close the compilation. A regular on COD3 QR, his tracks have also appeared on Intec, Bedrock, and Cocoon.
