Drowse

The singer of my first band approached me, asking if I could create a song of some lyrics. The lyrics were written by his old friend who's wife had passed away recently. They were a couple for over 40 years and he looked after her during her last months fighting a brain tumor. After she was gone he wrote down his pain and sadness, and it was their sad story that inspired me to write this title. Written and recorded in one weekend - sometimes best stories appear suddenly.

Reminder back to the mid 1980s when I travelled alone to United States to spend some weeks working in an YMCA camp near Chattanooga. The flight was in an old Boeing 707, which the song is about.

I Sing Because Im Happy

While cleaning out my office I found some old DVD with recording projects of my former band Ra Patera. Surprisingly there were some previously unreleased songs I hadn't even thought about. 
Reason enough to leave the current song project behind and tackle the first title "Unaufhaltsam" (Unstoppable). To tidy up the whole thing a bit, I just took over a few guitar parts myself and leave the solos and fills to our guitarist Kai. Vocalist Kev and drummer Sven Jentsch were only be refreshed by the sound.
