The Lasting Impact

Sweet And Creep (Remastered)

Isaac is a game about cycles, so I wanted to give this track a sort of underlying feeling of melancholy, a loss of innocence, and despair. Ultimately, I ended up using a few of its motifs in other tracks. Above all else though, I wanted to give it a drive, a feeling of pushing forwards despite the odds. Nothing sucks more than being sent back to the drawing board, but you gotta pull through.

Once things get going, it's hard to stop.

Your first boss encounters will likely result in many, many deaths; but it's in learning the patterns and coming out on top does the true game really begin. A game that inevitably leads to many, many more deaths and pain, but at least you know how to get to where you were a bit easier.

EDITOR'S NOTE:
I quite literally made this track yesterday after re-doing the initial boss theme countless times. I wanted the track to have a "sink-or-swim" kind of vibe, something that's been kept even after the song's changed completely. The song is currently lost to time, though I may be able to find other use for it should a Bandcamp release surface (Wink.) (*Wonk.*)
