This is an experimental track that I made using the AI tool COSO, by Splice. 

It provided me with a combination of samples that I've liked. I just mixed them and added some clean guitars, pianos, percussions, those cop radio samples and built the song structure. 

Using AI tools for music producing is really fun! 

There is not much meaning to it. "Trepidation" was just the name of one of those samples and I decided to use it as the track title.

I started writing this tune around June/2020 when the COVID-19 pandemic was hitting really strong here in Brazil. 

During these months of social distancing, I always thought about how people living in Asia on densely populated countries like India and China were managing to keep this isolation. That was one of my inspirations, so I tried to blend instruments from eastern music, like sitars, tablas, guzheng and tumbi, on top of a chillhop beat/melody with some guitar I played.

As for me, during the same time, I was going outside only when it was really necessary. I was working from home and I was barely seeing other people.

The name "Off (To) The Streets" plays with the fact that people were "Off The Streets" during the pandemic and also that this tune came out of my home studio and "Off To The Streets" for everybody to hear.
