Michael Bibi returns to his Solid Grooves imprint with the long-awaited drop of ‘Shaolin Dreams’.

With summer in full swing and dancefloors re-opening across the globe, Solid Grooves co-founder Michael Bibi drops another cut from his long-list of highly-requested unreleased productions as late July finally welcomes the arrival of the unorthodox and impactful ‘Shaolin Dreams’.

A vibrant production journeying through a wealth of global influences, contrasting sweeping melodies with impactful kicks and deviating martial arts samples, ‘Shaolin Dreams’ showcases the London talent at his best once again as he makes another big statement on home turf.

Delivering his first single on the label in five years, following a series of outings on the label's annual VA series, the Solid Grooves favourite makes his long-awaited return on 22nd March 2024, building on releases via Crosstown Rebels and his own CRZ and MÜSE imprints.

When it comes to the global house and techno landscape, very few individuals had a busier 2023 than Spanish DJ/producer and label boss Dennis Cruz. Following on from an action-packed twelve months, with highlights ranging from his Coachella debut through to regular appearances at the likes of Club Space (Miami), Hï (Ibiza) and fabric (London), coupled with a vital role at the helm of Solid Grooves' lauded DC10 Casino Motel residency alongside label co-founder PAWSA, the label favourite is back on Solid Grooves Records with his first standalone single on the label since 2019 - showcasing his trademark, groove-driven sound in full with his latest offering, 'Bonito'.

Drenched in Latin and Salsa flavours and sonics, with vibrant brass melodies ebbing and flowing amongst playful and hooky vocal interludes, all layered above signature crisp and rolling drums, 'Bonito' is a perfect example of Cruz's impeccable house sound and welcomes the arrival of a heavily-requested ID from his sets on a fitting return to his 'home away from home', Solid Grooves.

Emerging from the bustling Brazilian house landscape, up-and-comer BRN is providing the heat keeping by the sets of artists such as Vintage Culture, Mochakk, and more firing. With regular plays from Solid Grooves co-founder PAWSA across recent months, the Florianópolis-based talent now lands on the label for his debut appearance as he serves up the bumping grooves of his new single, 'Mommy'.

Anchored by a rumbling bassline and accented by punchy kicks, playful vocal snippets and wonky melodies, the driving and impactful 'Mommy' provides more peak-time material for the summer as Solid Grooves deliver another unearthed gem.

It also champions and celebrates the key residents and the ever-emerging new wave of talent shaping the label's future, with standout contributions from KinAhau, Ben Sterling, Blackchild, and Silvie Loto. Solid Grooves has built a strong following of loyal fans over the years. Starting out as an event series, the London based brand has since achieved global success including a prevalent Ibiza residency last year. Launching as a label in 2015, it wasn’t long before Solid Grooves Records topped Beatport’s overall charts with Wade’s remix of Dennis Cruz ‘See Line’ and cemented its reputation as an infallible imprint, releasing music from names such as Kuo Climax, ONNO, David Pher and Brett Gould.

Dennis Cruz leads the way with ‘Fake’, a vocal focused track with throbbing bass, chopped up samples and infectious percussive components before Franz Costa’s ‘Kate’ blends a medley of intricate rhythmic elements for a trippy low-slung production.

The label co-founders are up next, with Michael Bibi unleashing a roaring low-end in ‘Devil’s Candy’ whilst a spoken word sample operates through, making way for PAWSA’s ‘Taking Over’ – an atmospheric house track geared for powerful subs featuring dub inspired stabs and sharp hats. Reelow then concludes the package, demonstrating his signature style with a cacophony of percussion and mesmerizing effects.
