Paraffin is back with another special episode of its Podcast series, this time with our most fav ambient artists, Ario from Astral Industries (UK), a well known ambient label which is famous for its quality vinyls with the greatest artists in this game on their catalog. Ario also played at Paraffin Tehran’s 1 year anniversary in Iran, a festival with Iranian acts from all around the world. This mix is the actual recording of Ario’s performance at Experiment Intrinsic London on September 15/2018, Intrinsic is an event organisation which is taking place a at special locations around the world focusing on ambient music, also including a very special visual art treatment at their events.

Deep Breakfast 050 - Mind over MIDI

Glåsbird is an anonymous composer whose albums are the score to imaginary films.
The artist is building a series of works about various geographical locations as well as providing music for film, sound design and remixes.
Their sound contains evident influences from modern classical and ambient music genres and this mix for Deep Breakfast is an epic two hour journey through modern classical composition.
The artwork is provided by Aldona Pivoriene and was taken at the location for the new Glåsbird album out now on the wonderful Whitelabrecs: https://whitelabrecs.bandcamp.com/album/norskfj-r-r
The undulating landscape in the image is one of clear beauty and depicts the traditional instruments used throughout this mix. Whereas the electricity pylons that run through the valley represents the subtle electronic techniques used in many of the selections.

Der nächste Podcast kommt von @moritz-schlieb, der nicht nur mit seinen Fotos wesentlich dazu beitrug, DAVE ins rechte visuelle Licht zu rücken, sondern der auch ein versierter DJ ist. Seit er Anfang der 2000er Jahre auf den Tanzfluren des Kilowatts und der Straße E die Liebe zur elektronischen Musik zum ersten Mal in sich spürte, hat er fast überall in Dresden und immer auch mal wieder über die Stadtgrenzen hinaus souveräne Sets zwischen klassischem House und edgy Techno aufgelegt. For the 4th edition of DEBILARIUM - deliriumly eccentric mix - I invited my overdeared pal Aleatoric, one of the creators of ISKLJUČI SE concept and also a managing guru of OriginTrail futuristic project.

He blessed this session with his sophisticated selection of vinyl records, which he constantly and carefully updates whenever he goes abroad or to some Belgrade's records shop.

You will experience a wide range of genres, spanning from ambient zones, through some futuristic tribe vibes, chill-out melters, all the way to muddy hip as well as hop.

DEBILARIUM 004 (family takeover - Aleatoric vinyl session)

Dubbalot aka Frederik ist experimentier freudig, so viel ist klar. Der erste Track überrascht stark, beim genaueren hinhören klimpern seine Wurzeln heraus. Dub.
Er bietet uns in diesem Mix eine Mischung aus Dub-House, Electronica bis hin zu Trip-Hop-artigen Sounds. Spielerisch definiert Dubbalot ein abwechslungsreichen Mix und zeigt eine ganz andere Seite von sich. In der Trackliste erscheinen erstaunlicherweise viele Produzenten, die aus der Drum & Bass Szene stammen. Der Wiedererkennungswert ist auf jeden Fall vorhanden, bloß einfach ganz anders. 
Wir haben das Gefühl, dass Dubbalot all seine Electronica-Beat-Liebe in diesen Mix gepackt hat. Schöne Melodien, treffen auf sanfte Basswellen und leichte bis lauter werdende raffinierte Klimpergeräusche.

Uns hat Frederik auf jeden Fall am Ohr.
