Debuted in her Group Therapy 450 set, London’s Amy Wiles collaborates with Matt Fax and Mirror Machines on ‘Remind Me Why’.

Amy Wiles started her DJ career at 16, and has played for us at Group Therapy 450, Tomorrowland, Creamfields, The Warehouse Project and at Anjunabeats club nights across London. Her debut single ‘Biding Time’ was released in June 2021 as part of the Anjunabeats Rising series, and she’s remixed Above & Beyond, Kyau & Albert, Farius and gardenstate. You can catch Amy at our upcoming Night Tales showcase on March 18, and at The Gorge in July.

French producer David Ciekanski (aka Matt Fax) has been releasing music since the age of 15. In 2013, he provided a timeless remix of Jaytech’s ‘Labour Of Love’ and landed his first Guest Mix on Group Therapy. Since then, David has gone from strength to strength on labels such as Enhanced, Colorize, AVA Recordings and This Never Happened, releasing two artist albums and contributing to Colorize’s ‘Colorscapes’ mix compilation series.

Mirror Machines are U.S. production duo Jeremy Dawson and Chad Petree. They caught the attention of Lane 8 in 2021, releasing the ‘Pray For Rain EP’ on his This Never Happened imprint and featuring in several of his seasonal mixtapes. Jeremy and Chad were previously members of indie electronic outfit Shiny Toy Guns – their album ‘We Are Pilots’ received a GRAMMY Award nomination in 2007 for Best Electronic / Dance Album.

“I was working on some original material during lockdown. I posted an idea to my Instagram when Matt Fax dropped into my DM’s. I knew the idea wasn’t quite finished and that it was lacking something, so I asked if he would be down to collab on it and that’s how it became a collaboration.

At the same time, I had been recently chatting to Jeremy and Chad from Mirror Machines. It was slightly surreal when I received the top line from them, as my dad originally got me into Shiny Toy Guns when I was a kid. It’s also a great moment for me working with Matt Fax, having previously worked with him for years as Marketing Manager at Enhanced Music. 'Venezuelan artist Fur Coat steps up to add his own signature sound to Karol XVII & MB Valence's 'Fool's Gold' single.

Fur Coat is the solo project of Sergio Muñoz, an artist in the truest sense of the word who looks to craft musical journeys as a DJ and moving melodies and emotions as a producer. He has dropped two acclaimed albums including 2020's ‘Polyphony’ on Renaissance, as well as EPs on Balance, Last Night On Earth, Watergate and of course his own Øddity Records. He is a regular at the world's finest clubs from Fabric to Space Miami, Warung in Brazil to Pacha and explores new possibilities every time he steps up.

'Fool's Gold' feat. Jono McCleery was the final single from Karol XVII & MB Valence's well-received album ‘Essay’, which dropped in February 2022. It now gets remixed by Fur Coat into something that will send shivers up the spine. The chords are filled with melancholy. The vocal is beautifully tender and conveys a sense of pain. The drums are what lift you up as they roll on while the synths grow more optimistic and majestic.

Fur Coat's remix is a subtle and stylish track that manages to make an epic emotional impact.'

The first release on Daydreaming, new label launched by Ornery, is a collaboration between the label founder himself and Michael Ritter, who also provides vocals for the main track. "Calling" is a melodic piece, atmospheric yet energetic, sublimated by Michael's magical vocal part. A statement for what the label's palette will be: soundscapes and emotions. On remix duties, we find an outstanding trio of artists from different parts of the world, all adding their unique touch to the title track. JP Lantieri's take is a sublime piece where arpeggios and bassline perfectly interpolate with the vocals, lifting the track to a new level. In Intaktogene's version, the vocals take a slight back seat, only to be reintroduced and followed by an epic melodic crescendo for maximum dancefloor energy. Last but not least, we find Joe Fisher twisting the vocals in a completely unique way, infusing the track with even more energy and drive, while maintaining the original atmosphere. The package is completed by "The Arrival", a more introspective yet still uplifting piece; and by an instrumental version of "Calling".
