Lush atmospheres can provide the ultimate emotion when coupled with the right video.  This dramatic piece was designed to provide the haunting, epic sadness you would expect from emotive acts like Sigur Ros.   The unique drum beat provides a layer of foundation to the otherwise floating theme.  The Gregorian style vocals come in near the middle to fill out the sound and provide an even deeper sense of transcendence.  The song pierces the listener providing them simultaneously with the beauty of heaven and the emptiness of hell.

Dream II

When I discovered the organ tone for this piece I was immediately transported inside of a Tim Burton Movie. The director and his "go to" composer, Danny Elfman, have been inseparable and have a large impact on popular music that few people even recognize. After writing the main parts of this track I began experimenting with some delay effects to enhance the vibe. I soon had all the notes of the theme dancing and tripping over one another in a delightful yet unpredictable Bach-style manner. The high-hat groove was added in the second verse and gives the track an overall feel of "Wrapped Around My Finger" by the Police. This track would be fitting for dark comedies and horror films alike.

Shady McCoy

The opening of this cut harkens back to a day when bell bottoms were tight and platform shoes were right.  The song takes a sharp turn, however with the entry of a quick, arpeggiated piano.  When the disco comes back in again it is accompanied by a modern bass synth line that provides both a contrast and a bottom.  This progressive track is perfect to present a unique product that is pushing technological boundaries.

Super Disco Dynamite

The bassline that kicks off this number meanders in frequency to give it a true sense of motion.  The drums enter to round out the groove and are soon accompanied by a haunting ambient keyboard.  The guitar is run through a filter modeler and provides an even deeper level of haunting ambience.

Miles is a Jerk

After a clever computerized intro, the song’s main theme enters via a large, soaring synth riff.  The riff is complimented with an overdriven drum loop.  The riff breaks down in the chorus with a simple contrasting synth line and club style drum beat.  A new synth is introduced in the second verse and drives the listener directly toward the sun and utter destruction.
