Vintage has been smashing the scene with his recent releases and we have three new Bombs from the man himself and friends forming his Everyday’s a G-Thing EP. First track Vintage teams up with the mighty fine Love Bites for the killer sonics of Self Pleasures. Well-known disco samples & synths lead us through with classic drums and phat punching bass, adding to that the G-House party banger vibe calling out to all bitches, Bitch! Next up we have another Killer collaboration between Vintage & theDuo in Everday, super killin’ it G-House with a very well known vocal acapella bringing the cheek and song alive. Perfect matching bass and synths finish this stormer off. Finally we have a Vintage Culture original with Night Workers, which takes a chance with the classic old school rap vocals from that early 80’s era! ‘Trapped’ is a sunshine-fuelled, epic rendition of the 1985 street-smart R&B hit by Colonel Abrams. A rolling bassline and melodic pads set the tone underneath the powerful and infectious vocal by Colonel Abrams. Definite feel good anthem! The Subs invited the legendary American singer to Belgium to re-record his vocals. Colonel Abrams’s visit to Belgium was an adventure. Before the legend wanted to sing any note, he needed a haircut and a stylist. Eventually it took 3 days and a shipment of Baileys to lay down the vocals. And he left The Subs with some good stories. One evening during dinner, Colonel Abrams tried to convince them of the fact that he made the first house record: ‘Release the Tension’, a track from 1984 that he recorded with Boyd Jarvis. We don’t know if that's actually true, but it’s a damn good track. And a bold statement!
Remixes come from Belgian supertalent Compuphonic, who turns the track into a heartfelt house anthem. Instant classic. To say it in his own words: “One of my favourite works in a while, I'm happy with the result! I was truly inspired”
And secondly, London underground talent Ashworth (half of the late Joe & Will Ask?). With his gritty but groovy style, Ashworth got trapped into deep down techno but set free by the most wonderful breakdown … If you liked his recently released cut with Citizen you’ll surely love this…

The high voltage ‘Electricity’ kicks things off with the sensational voice of Anabel Englund leading the way. The deep, slow grooves ride effortlessly through the track with a breath-taking break down filled with electric bolts and melodic synth keys.

‘Goodnight Moon’ is the second on offer from Lee and Marc and boasts a heavy bass, beautiful synths patterns and infectious groove. The atmosphere in the track is filled with layers of intricate percussions and luscious melodies, while the interesting vocals make this really stand out from the rest.

Over on the B-side Lee takes the reins with ‘Could Be’, effortlessly swarming the mind with soaring synths, soft R n’B style vocals and lo-slung driving bass lines, while the trippy keys are destined to hypnotize you on the dancefloor.

Rounding off ‘B5 the Dinks’ is aimed straight at the dancefloor. Packed full of groove with an intoxicating bassline, the high-pitched warbling keys, vocals and crowd noises add a new dimension and make this a real party track. (Maouris)
