Following the success of Pitto's album "Objects In A Mirror Are Closer Than They Appear" on GREEN, we've waited excitedly and impatiently for new material from the blooming artist. With his new multi-layered single “Shadows” Pitto once again elegantly entertains our senses. The beautiful melody played by Woodie S, together with the continuous clicking pattern and synthesised bassline create a sublime piece of audio that has an almost supernatural perspective.

The introduction of vocals accentuate's the echoes of the lyrics adding another dimension to the Johannes Brecht Remix. While Edwin Oosterwal’s Dub adds further depth creating a chilled vibe by intensifying the other-worldly state of the original.

Miajica follows up on his ‘Second Spring’ EP on Origami Sound with a physical release that features remixes from Acid Pauli, Wareika and Alma Negra. The digital version will surface on November 2

There is a certain melancholy yet highly comforting mood that Miajica is good at conjuring through his more elaborate and sensitive tracks. The two originals on his 'I Forgot About Love' EP are probably the best examples in his discography so far of such a mood. Both the Middle Eastern themed 'I Forgot About Love' and the dubby 'Au bord de l'eau' are deep, groovy and immersive long-play tracks, devised for that ideal crowd that likes to indulge in the process and catch every detail.

Acid Pauli and Wareika contribute with even more brilliant detail work, retouching the originals in surprising and sophisticated ways. Acid Pauli gives his 'I Forgot About Acid' remix a minimalistic, spaced-out, acid infused twist, creating a tangible world of new sounds and superb musical moments. Wareika take their original - already an Alma Negra dub - out of its comfort zone and rework it into an anthem by adding extra spatiousness, an honest, universally-appealing vocal hook and perfecting everything around the soothing melody with the help of their own instrumentation.

"I Forgot About Love" is the seventh 12" release within our collective of labels. Wareika's Vocal Dub of "Au bord de l'eau" will be available exclusively on the 12" release, while the instrumental version replaces it on the digital version.

Miajica - I Forgot About Love

Dreems says : 

I was introduced to The Moffs surf-rock new-wave cult anthem ‘Another Day In The Sun’ by my friend who i was working with in the early 2000’s. I immediately felt deeply connected to this song … it channelled a part of the world that i was extremely fond of - the beaches and oceans forming Sydney’s coastline. You can feel the salt and sand tucked away in the cracks of the melodies and it conjures a sensation that only a full day in a heavy southern sun can bring  - exhaustion, elation, electricity all mixed into a distinctive feeling that grounds you where you stand. 

I’m not sure when the bright idea to do a cover version came about - but i remember working on a very rough demo version of the track and showing my close friend Jono. As i presumed the song resonated with him in the same way it did for me. Luck would have it our way that day and Gab came round to re-sing the vocals. He was locked onto it from the get go and it was one short session and it was cut. 

This (re)mix is where the original idea started. More stripped back, really dubbed out and beat-less to the larger extent. I think the simplistic nature of the melody makes for such a nice hypnotic pulse - i just feel like it could listen to those chords all day on loop. 

It only seemed fitting to pay my dues to the Sun with this dedication to its radiance and life giving force that it beams down on us as we spin around the solar system in giant circles.

"Humming Dunes" is the perfect EP opener with a slow building structure that leads you on a mysterious journey. With atmospheric textures, sitar samples, and Arabic notation, this mystical track tantalises the senses with its captivating atmosphere.

Swiss artist Canson bought his first synthesiser in 1994 and after years of experimentation made his first official release in 2000. That first release was in collaboration with Cosili, and following that the pair launched their Anatol alias, which soon lead to live set bookings at places like the world famous Robert Johnson club in Frankfurt.

It wasn’t long before Canson was also releasing solo records and his individual back catalogue now includes imprints such as KATERMUKKE, Cityfox and Bar 25 Music amongst others. Also a key part of the underground music scene in his home city of Zürich, he is an accomplished DJ with regular local and international bookings.

This is Canson’s third appearance on Sol Selectas and along with his two original tracks, the EP also features a remix from Ninze.

Sol Selectas is a label run by US artist Sabo, and the label matches his deep and tribal sound. The artwork is designed by his fiance Helia Jamali, and is carefully created to visualise the individual sound of each release.

"Geplantes Nichtstun" - Planned idleness, rather played than seen. 
His focus lies on the production of evocative and emotive tracks. His arrangements testify to great care and suggest of prolounged classical musical education back in the days. 
"It was a pleasure to meet Olli on the last days of december 2018 in Bern at Kapitel Club. There was not only a certain vibe and a connection about music which accompanied us through the night. San Miguel was one of the first internationally known DJ to record a track of Geplantes Nichtstun in a DJ-Set on soundcloud. The contact subsisted and we were eager to find a track that fits in the temple called „Monada“." 
After several releases on different labels like Amselcom, LOKD, Akumandra, Heimlich Musik and a forthcoming album on Serafin Audio Imprints, a single track release called „Lagom“ find its way to the listeners. Lagom is derived from Swedish and means "just right". It appears in the optimal interplay of synthetic and organic sounds and is trying to help achieve serenity and harmony with oneself and the environment. Perhaps it's better in a more conscious way, enjoyed on headphones at home or while travelling or in an extatic dance set during a dance with open heart. With 97bpm the slowest release of Tom so far.
