BIO:

Born in Norway, but raised in Argentina, Espen Lauritzen is slowly earning a spot on the underground techno scene, both for his own productions, infectious and enthralling, but as well because this versatile artist is since 2011, the founder and owner of Krill Music, a label dedicated to promoting up-and-coming artists as well as already-consolidated ones, and lately has been releasing a series of EP that have been taking the scene by storm, the Habitat series, currently on its 6th edition. Espen always had a natural inclination for music, and to make a career out of it was only natural to him. He gave his first steps in music in a completely opposite genre than Techno: when young, he was actually playing on a grunge band, influenced by bands such as Pink Floyd, CAN, Popol Vuh, Led Zeppelin, Nirvana, Dead Kennedys, The Misfits, Coil and The Cure, Primus to name a few. While living in Buenos Aires, soon he discovered the vibrating nightlife of the city, and in 2008, started hanging out at Cocoliche, the legendary techno basement that earned its reputation within the scene as one of the best underground clubs in the world. It was in this small club where he met the owner and became close friends, then decided to invest and promote parties in the club, later developing his involvement as a resident until 2010, when he left Argentina to move back to Norway. Cocoliche was to Espen a real techno bootcamp and an accelerated course: he was able to deepen his technical knowledge, expand his musical taste and learnt how to deal with artists and to become one. In that underground venue, he had the chance to cross paths with many DJs and producers from both the national and international scenes, and where he also met Jonas Kopp, who mentored him, and influenced him deeply: not only his technique or mixing style, but also personally as they developed a close bond that has lasted throughout the years. When producing or mixing, Espen is impulsive, possibly due to his Latin American upbringing: he chooses to record in one take, and as soon as he has an idea, he puts it into practice. Arrangements are not on his plans when he is dedicated to music production. He experiments, records impulsively and in one shot and then edits.

The baroness of sludge and eroticism, the Vampira of "techno", the Elvira of acid... she's been called many things but who the hell is she?

L.Sangre was originally hatched in the gothic swaps of Miami and marinated/refined in the realness of New York for a bit over a decade, wherein the last half she's dj'ed here,around and beyond.

Rhythmic proclivities, acidic elements, and the ebb and flow of industrial roots to name a few, all inform the influences she draws from in her past to drive her present.

In 2018 she and Silent Servant paired up to produce releases as their project Limit-Xperience, and their two EPs were released under her Orden Extatica label.  Locally, she is a resident dj for the Lost Soul Enterprises crew and party series that pops up with in various locations around Brooklyn (most recently by way of a Good Room residency). ? 

Often disenchanted with the current state of popular techno affairs, she finds community with the real ones and mutant family she finds intermittently throughout the musical journey across the country and world.  appropriately honoured to contribute to the L.I.E.S. series as a result.

Powerhouse generalissimo Lucid and founding resident DarkAli bring a back-to-back uncompromising mix of cold as death Industrial Techno and filthy old warehouse funk rhythms.

Though only having started DJing a year and a half ago, Lucid has been active in the underground scene for over 10 years, first as an Harsh Noise & Power Electronics artist before moving to the Norwegian Arctic and starting his transition towards all hardware live Acid Techno. Since returning to Edinburgh he's leapt headfirst into DJing and his Hard Dance clubnight Powerhouse: Hedonism, Unity & Freedom has become notorious for its no-holds-barred attitude to speed, smoke and strobe.

DarkAli has been DJing for over 15 years at everywhere from quarry raves and underground bunkers to BDSM clubs under the City Cafe. She's a master of Techno, DnB, Jungle and Gabber, known for the unrelenting thunderous energy of her sets and wild uncompromising mixing acrobatics. 

Both can be found DJing regularly across the central belt and have appeared alongside and/or hosted such DJs and collectives as The DJ Producer, Espen Lauritzen, Kenny Campbell, Duellist, Voight-Kampff, Eutony, Foundry, Rush, Midnight Bass and more. Stay on the look out for their appearance on the first Powerhouse VA release which will rear its ugly heid sometime over next few months.
