Having enjoyed an outstanding year, Alesso certainly isn’t resting on his laurels as it starts to draw to a close. Following the release of huge vocal anthems ‘Calling (Lose My Mind)’ with Sebastian Ingrosso and Ryan Tedder and ‘Years’ featuring Matthew Koma, the young Swede is going solo and honing his focus directly on the club with blazing new single ‘Clash’.

Having been officially unveiled by Otto Knows on Pete Tong’s BBC Radio1 show as part of the Young Stars of 2012 takeover, ‘Clash’ is set for release on Refune Records imminently.  Moving into darker than his most recent offerings, ‘Clash’ sees him returning to the heavier nature of earlier productions while continuing to push his sound into new territory. Retaining the melodic finesse and anthemic power that he is known for, big riffs and a grinding bassline drive the track forward. Living up to its title, ‘Clash’ is a dynamic call to arms for club goers. 

At just 21 years old, Alesso has quickly established himself as one of the most fresh and exciting talents of the EDM world, and with a flourishing back catalogue of club and chart hits already to his name and a reputation as a DJ that precedes him, this is clearly only the start for the supremely talented young DJ and producer. Following the success of breakthrough singles such as ‘Nillionaire’, ‘Raise Your Head’ and ‘Calling’, Alesso went straight into DJ Mag’s Top 100 in his first year running as well as being tipped by MTV as one of their EDM artists to watch for 2012. Since the turn of the year things haven’t slowed down either, recording an essential mix in March, hitting the top of the Beatport and DMC Buzz Charts and travelling across the world to play to 1000s of fans from Masquerade Motel in Miami to Coachella, EDC to Tomorrowland and Milton Keynes Bowl, where he supported Swedish House Mafia. The release of his latest single ‘Years’ this Summer firmly cemented his position at the forefront of electronic music as we step in to the new year.

HARDWELL RELEASES REMIX OF KREWELLA'S #1 DANCE HIT "ALIVE"

Dutch dancefloor destroyer Hardwell has been on a tour de force of late. In a week that saw Hardwell reach 500,000 followers on Twitter. After breaking viewer figures for the most watched liveset at Ultra Music Festival Miami and trending around the world on Twitter, the Breda born superstar then went and took Coachella by storm with another highest ranked liveset of weekend #1 of the iconic California based festival. During his explosive Coachella performance Hardwell debuted his infectious remix of Krewella's breakout single, 'Alive'.

"I love to do remixes of original tracks I really love. And I was already playing Alive." said Hardwell in an interview with Krewella, which debuts on vevo today. "I love the vocals. I love the chords. I think the song is perfect. I fell in love with the song when I heard it for the first time." 

Back in March, Hardwell passed the torch for Best Breakthrough Artist at the International Dance Awards to electropunk trio, Krewella. This year, he takes the IDMA for Best Remixer (and Best European DJ) and affirms his title with this booming, big-room house remix of 'Alive', which debuted this past Friday on Pete Tong's infamous BBC1 Radio Show and was released for sale exclusively on Beatport today.

The stage is now most definitely set for what will be the biggest Hardwell summer ever!
