First track from an upcoming album inspired by Shpongle's take on a chilled and down tempo approach to Psytrance with multi-continental influences.

production notes:
This started out with a narrative I wrote for the track about a lone figure that awoke without memory in a cave that appeared to be sentient, and inhabited ravers entranced by strange relics. The usual psychedelic trope stuff. I recorded the vocals myself, and used them to inform the initial arrangement of the track. It became evident that the story would result in a evolving and winding musical expedition. However, my voice really didn't suit it. So I used elevenlabs to generate a new AI version of the vocals - that are used here. Later I stripped most of the vocals out, however the story they informed is now the song.

Each track I make offers new challenges.. here I really wanted to shift genres and sounds a lot. It sounds quite basic, but there's a lot going on here from a bassline that absolutely isn't traditional psytrance (although the base pattern is inspired by "Robotoised" by Quirk), to shifting from saw bass, to square wave, to switching the whole thing up in to a Brazil-inspired shponglised breakdown - considering I had no knowledge of this musical style, let alone how to produce it. However the real challenge was finishing this track. The arrangement has been 'complete' for months now with me tweaking and trying to polish it up enough to release it. 

I also decided to make this a multi-part song. Again, inspired by Shpongle albums where tracks eb and flow between each other. Part 2 of this isn't included here, but I hope I can make it become a full mixed album. Something for later.

Né en 1994, Lucky Boy découvre le monde de la musique par le hardrock et le métal. Par la suite, il s'oriente vers le hip hop et le dub. Puis il arrive enfin sur la musique éléctronique et le djing en 2008. C'est en 2012 qu'il décide de monter un collectif de DJ's avec plusieurs amis. Le "BDB Sound crew" ainsi créé deviendra une association puis un soundsystem, dont il est le président. 
Tout d'abord attiré par l'éléctro trash, l'éléctro dirty et la minimale, il découvre la trance progressive et la psytrance. Depuis 2015, il décide de s'orienter uniquement sur la house et la techno sous toutes ses variantes, sous le nom de lucky boy.
Il a déja joué dans de nombreux établissements à Bordeaux, tels que la Rock School Barbey, le BT59,l’iboat, la Mac, l'Entrepot club,le hangar FL mais aussi au festival Arts Electroniques à Caudebronde,le chill du son libre festival,le sogood festival.
Résident du club BT59 depuis 3 ans et membre de la Groove Bordel Party,il a joué au côté de,Victor Ruiz,Dusty Kid, Dave the drummer,sterling moss,chris liberator,aaron liberator,asphalt pirate…
Il fait de l'observation du public sur le dancefloor son cheval de bataille, car pour lui, rien n'est plus important que d'envoyer la bonne track au bon moment pour injecter une alchimie particulière au dancefloor!
