PROTONICA - HORIZON EP
From the clouds of darkness bursts of colours start to appear: purple, orange and some pink. These rays of light tickle your eyes and open a new view, a new Horizon. It is only then that you start to hear the beat, those pounding sounds that make your heart race. Now you know, it is time to follow the beat.

Guiding your way to the Horizon are Protonica, aka Piet Kaempfer and Ralf Dietze from Berlin, Germany. After two successful albums – Search (2007) and Form Follows Function (2012), Protonica have been placed high in the psychedelic galaxy. In this journey they take you once more to an unknown Horizon, although the destination is unknown, pleasure is guaranteed.

The dark mist has faded away with the waves of multiple colours that were sent from the Horizon. It is bright and shiny just like Greece and brings with it the same sense of mythology and magical surrounding that are known to be associated with Atmos, aka Tomasz Balicki.

Starting the comp of with huge SUPERNOVA explosion we bring you Total Eclipse our French delegate details his experiences with detonating suns. Of course no Internationalism would be right without a steady dose of multinational flair Colin OOOD aka Out Of Our Depth put his UK head together with Greek Outer World Elements discovering how to harness the power of their Train Of Thoughts. Taking another great leap into the firmament we arrive at the Pleiadians aka Etnica, Italian maestros kicking down a fresh cut previously only available as an element in their live set album, now fully tuned with extra morning flavors. This next rare gem from UK wizards was extracted from their eagerly anticipated forth coming EP is extra pumped, energized & remixed by none other than Cosmosis himself. As we go bouncing bonkers from moon to comet and back to a planet the mysterious Arkanoydz emerge, a project combined with a member of Crop Circles (with Lotus Omega) and Etnica along with two new members all based now in Italy. Joining us is the returning cast of out there Scandinavian mind benders like Chromosome with his out of this world pal from Mexico, Vimana giving his millennial classic a fresh twist. Another top interstellar navigator Ari Alien Project getting a remix from another top French master Stryker aka Bart from XSI. Saikopod aka Ian Ion & Frank-E co-founders of legendary KoxBox/Psychopod, sonic alchemists completely renovating an epic hit and turning it into a sleek and powerful Mecha-Godzilla version. Another UK favorite, Shakta aka Seb Taylor, had the full remix project for the world shaking mega hit from the 90’s Lepton Head getting a deep dark remix from co-compiler Astro-D, who along with Dr. Spook have finally put the finishing touches on this wild out of this world deep space adventure and are ready to get out of their Space Suits and throw down some serious musical space bombs for the planet earth. To help us gently land back down on the ground we have the esteemed pleasure of grooving down to the Saafi Brothers with a deep Dub Six. As we hurtle back from our excursion to the edge of the Milky Way Galaxy we are eager to share the results of our astronomical survey. International aerospace scientists have been eagerly receiving transmissions from deep space probes indicating the return of the long awaited Spiral Trax probe sent into the universe to collect rare and exotic samples from across the cosmos. With this triumphant return bringing with it definitive proof of Alien life, while making many orbits around multitudes of celestial bodies each offering to share a special communication from their stellar nurseries artfully navigated and expertly crafted to deliver this interstellar narrative depicting the very origin of the multiverse as we know it. Going all the way back to the roots of Psychedelic Goa Trance we worked closely with the founders who form the very platform that launched our mighty space craft.

Looking through my old DAT's, I found this forgotten gem… This was made in Januray 1999. It's a remix of Atmos' classic Klein Aber Doctor done by myself and George Barker, released as Slinky Wizard vs. Green Nuns Remix….BUT this version was done after we had put down our final mix…. Simon popped round for a cuppa and did a live mix on the mixing desk. In the "olden days" before making everything inside a computer people would make their sequenced mix then put everything on a loop and make a live mix on the analogue mixing desk twisting the FX and EQ's, playing the desk like an instrument……this was a trick learnt from the days of Youth's Butterfly Studios….. Simon P., Ott and Greg Hunter were masters of this.Then you could edit it down into a few minutes. So this is Simon's live mix of our remix….its about 19 minutes long and very psychedelic! Enjoy!
