Gegenwelt (Parallel World) is the second LP by CEL, a duo Kubin and Zemler formed. More melodically-evolved than their eponymous 2020 debut, it is an even more explicit example of the syncretic impulse that impelled these guys to form the band. Their basic notion was to explore the juncture between two streams of German underground sounds -- the Motorik 4/4 rhythms first posited by Can's Jaki Liebezeit and Kraftwerk's Klaus Dinger, and the sequencer-driven brain loops of early, experimental pioneers of the NDW, such as der Plan.

Welcome to the 45th Ambient Sessions presented by Deep Electronics.
It's the first sunday of June and that means a brand new session!

This months session is created by Vinnie Vortex.

Bio:
The artist behind Sounds That Speak The Truth is Vincent Watters. He started producing electronic music back in the mid 90's after being gripped by the music and community of the Goa/PsyTrance scene at the time. 
Since then he has fluctuated between many different styles and has had rentent releases under different monikers (Vinny Vortex, Artificial Being & Distant Worlds) on different labels (Astropilot Music, Hello Strange & Deep Electronics).
This latest project sees him focusing on modular synthesis exploration to produce more ambient textures and sounds, occasionally accompanied with rhythmic content.

About the mix:
'This live performance recording was journey into the unknown for me. I sat in front of my setup, consisting of a drum machine and a small modular synthesizer, and hit record. With only basic pre-patching done beforehand, it took a very organic path that I programmed and tweaked on the fly. This live performance took me on a journey into uncharted territory that seemed to progress naturally.'
