Dance Freex Radio - Progressive House Mix | Stream #11

It was a pleasure to play the opening set at my first Neomenia festival.

The Fan Club Collective creates a magical space of connection, love and play. Meeting new souls and deepening friendships with my music family over the 3 days was bliss.

This was  my first time mixing on 3 decks which was heaps of fun.

Pete normally would play alongside but he was not able given he's been spending time with his mum and her ongoing health issues. Lucy is relatively new to the Sydney dance scene and has shared the decks with Henry Saiz for Return to Rio, Bootz n Catz, Sunset Project, The Fan Club, Phil Smart’s Tempo Comodo at club 77 and most recently for the launch party of the  Return to Rio festival with Monkey Safari and Return to Rio Halloween Special festival with headliners such as Nick Warren and Patrice Baumel.

Lucy also runs a bi-montly progressive house event with Steve Marx and Andy Hardwick called Inside Out in Sydney.

Lucy's musical style is unique. A deep groove runs through her sets as she segues between darker tracks and dreamy soundscapes along with driving rhythms which flow deep, soft and driving, taking you on a journey of self-discovery.  

Her passion motivates her to keep learning and expanding as a DJ. She says, ‘Dancing connects you to your ‘tribe’… to an experience of feeling open, free, and truly alive’.  

She is loving the deep melodic, progressive, tribal and indie sounds right now and gets her inspiration from a multitude of DJ’s such as John Digweed, Patrice Baumel, Hernan Cattaneo, Tantum, Mira, and Frida Darko.
