"Peaceful Bay is a song I wrote while hiking the Bibbulmun track (a 1003 km track from Perth to Albany). Peaceful Bay is one of the only towns on the track where you camp in a settlement and not in the bush and it’s inspired by a girl a friend and I met in the townsite. She said she’d just moved down there from Perth, was pregnant and had morning sickness. We were knackered and didn’t have time to talk and properly meet her but I thougth it was a really brave and unusual move to come from the city to this tiny, isolated fishing town. So by torchlight in a hot tent I filled in the blanks and made up what I thought her story may have been and that formed the basis for the song." 

"In the studio we were going for quite a grand Augie March, Triffidsy kind of vibe. We were trying to evoke isolation and heaps of space but also the wild coastline that’s just around the corner from there. The creeky lap steel at the start reminds me of the boat ropes creeking and rubbing at night.” Davey Craddock on the writing and recording of Peaceful Bay. 

Recorded live to tape at Perth’s RADA Studios with his band The Spectacles, new single Peaceful Bay comes hot on the heels of a big 2015 for Davey which saw Better Alone, the first single from debut City West (Released Feb 5) added to rotation on Double J, extensive national radio play and touring, a WA Music Award nomination and critical acclaim from the indie folk and alt-country community -“his name has been plastered all over the blogosphere and everyone seems to be singing his praises”, said the Timber & Steel blog.

Hallelujah Heartache offers the familiar sounds of Childsaint’s soft and soulful choral vocal melodies, combined with the backdrop of dark and dreamy layers of guitars and drums. A little louder and a little grittier than Sick, this single is a sneak peak at how the band’s sound has evolved since the release of their debut EP.

The “wonderfully engaging and tremendously gifted performer” (AU Review) Lucy Peach has once again returned to the studio. The new single new Be So Good, features the organic, acoustic instrumentation that first made her so beloved by Perth audiences- the perfect accompaniment to her “pitch-perfect voice” (The Music) and disarmingly earnest songwriting.

Released in the Spring of 2011, Peach’s debut EP Wax and Wane was welcomed to much acclaim and anticipation. Recorded by Malcolm Clark (Sleepy Jackson) at Yo Yo Studios, the release saw the artist added to coveted Perth lineups including Beaufort Street Festival (2012)  and Hidden Treasures (2013). A captured live performance of her song Golden Days from a Sofar Sounds event in 2013 has stacked up an impressive 40 000 views and adoring remarks through the global platform, confirming this local darling as a world class act to be reckoned with.

Soaring wherever the wind takes her, Lucy has toured internationally to her Father’s home ground in New Zealand, and has recently returned from supporting the inimitable Mama Kin on the Irish leg of her September 2015 tour. Her songwriting and live presence has won the approval of fellow musicians and industry, supporting the eclectic likes of Tim Finn, Geoffrey Gurrumul Yunupingu, Abbe May, Tim Rogers and Dave Graney in the last few years.

Recorded by Joel Quartermain at Wasteland Studios, the new Single Be So Good saw Lucy Peach accompanied by Lee Jones (The Sun Orchestra, Ruby Boots, Eskimo Joe, Sleepy Jackson, Spencer Tracy) on pedal steel, piano and is described as a talisman in the studio by Peach. The release boasts a music video to match, filmed by the inspiration behind the song itself, Richard Berney. The video was captured throughout a year of Lucy singing the song to him across Australia and New Zealand - and incidentally culminated in an off-camera marriage proposal. A true sentiment to the honest and heartwarming songwriting she is known and loved for, Lucy Peach is set to release a follow-up EP to the new track later in Summer.

If my music can make smile or cry, happy or sad, then I take it as an honor. If it can make you dance, all naked or not, just shake your head, give you confidence… well... that's even better !
If I sound too rough, too minimal, too strange or too punk, well... that's a big compliment for me. 
I know these songs are not perfect and need some more work... but it all started as a joke. And I can't believe so many people are following me today ! Everything goes so fast on the Internet. Your criticisms really make me happy and give me energy.
