This week for our first mix of the Deep House South Africa mix series we have 2lani The Warrior.

2lani The Warrior has been breaking down dance floors all over the South African club scene since 1997. He is famed for his trademark ‘sweet’ Deep House & Tech sound, and his seamless mixing style which has cultivated an ever increasing & faithful following. His playing style exerts expectations of sound and music endeavours- no mean feat. by any standard.
In high demand always, 2lani was just recently featured on the "Boiler Room" South African showcase live in Johannesburg. His artistic skills and increasing popularity has also resulted in the release of numerous CD compilations: and have become known for their deep uplifting grooves completely selling out during the first day of its release. He always has a trendy fuse of jazz and house.
2lani is now currently running his labels DO IT NOW Recordings, showcasing a more soulful side of House, and also DeepStitched Records (a sub-label of DIN focusing on the more Deeper & Tech sounds) & his latest label called "Music Basket". As label CEO, 2lani's vision is to promote & nurture South African talent and ensure that each artist is locally and internationally recognized without losing their true deep essence or becoming too commercialized. The 3 labels were created to showcase a specific type of talent aimed to offer an all-round experience of genres, all under one roof.

Dwson (pronounced Daw-son) is a young Capetonian producer, and one of the most sought- after electronic artists in South Africa at the moment. Effortlessly breathing new life into the local deep house scene with his  dubbed-out sound, Dwson sets a clear vision, with  diverse and refreshingly distinct ways that refuse to be tied to one style of house. Thus far he has taken stages at major events such as, consecutive Cape Town Electronic Music Festivals, Oppikoppi, RedBull Music Academy, ULTRA, Rocking the Daisies, Synergy and Design Indaba to name but a few. His latest offering, the Glimpses Of You EP released in February 2019, boasts 3 stunning vocal features in folk favourite Dumama, guitar-wielding  Roxy Caroline and his ever present muse, Sio, as well as one instrumental track,  reminding all who listen that his slick, clean productions are unlike anything we have previously heard.

Mr Joe is a rising dj/producer from South Africa who goes by the real name of Mbheki Ndlovu. He was born and raised in the Kwa-Zulu Natal province of South Africa,from a township called Esikhawini.
The producer/Dj has always loved and lived for music from an early age where music was constantly a part of his surroundings.
He started producing music in high school and has seen his career steadily grow from there.
In 2011 he started releasing songs with local South African labels and got his first international break the same year with releases on New York Label, Afro Rebel Music, with songs like ‘Natives In You’ and ‘Masses Illusion’.
In the same year he went on to do a Remix for Oscar P and legendary French dj/producer Rocco. The song, ‘The Energy’, featured Mj White and Mr Joe’s remix was released on Open Bar Music.
Always looking to take his music to new heights he went on to study music production at Soul Candi Institute Of Music in 2012.
2016 can be considered a milestone year for Mr Joe as it is the year he had two of his songs included on a Watergate Records compilation. The Berlin label had enlisted South African star, Culoe De Song, for their 21st compilation and on hearing ‘Vector Groove’ and ‘Dharma’ from Mr Joe, promptly included them on the compilation.
Since then Mr Joe has had further success with his Lost EP which was released the first half of 2018 with the lead single ‘Lost In My Dub’ being played by the likes of Black Coffee, Dixon of Innervisions and Culoe De Song, who also signed the EP to his label, De Song Music.
Followed by releasing a Ep on Offering Recordings Air Force Ep in 2018, the iconic label created by Boddhi Satva, while also touring extensively as he continues to build his reputation as the future tastemaker of all things Afro. With also having a new 2019 release on German Label (Get Physical), Africa Gets Physical Vol 2 with his Track titled Silent Prayer which is featured on the Get Physical Berlin Compilation getting love from Innervisions very own Ame, the future withholds more for the Producer/Dj as he drives his passion around the world.￼￼
