Level 3

You have no orientation in space: you don’t know how you got here, how to move, who you are. No past, no sense of time. You just exist here, with your breathing.
Gently open your eyes.
You do not recognize. You do not attribute.
Just let the light penetrate and reach your retina at the back of your eyeballs.

Now close them again.

Start to slowly notice any need that your body might have. What does your body need and want to do? To stretch a muscle? Slowly move your head? Scratch? Maybe slowly move body members.

(...) carry on; invite another movement in, gently  

You have no direction, no clear purpose, no goal.
What do you smell? What do you hear?
What about your eyes? Do you want to open them? Keep them half or fully closed?
Do not try to perceive (understand) what you see. - light, colours, shapes

(...) Carry on moving - invite new movements in, one by one, gently introduce it to your body.
Become aware of the ground. 
How does the surface of your feet affect the ground? / How does the ground affect your surface?
How do you both affect each other while you move?
Keep the movement effortless.

Do not necessarily think of yourself as a human being. Imagine how a plant moves.
For now you do not know how a human moves. 
Hearing suddenly becomes more clear.
“Hear” and “smell” with your whole body, like a fish. “See” light all over you, like a worm. Go towards a smell, move away from a sound. 
Move easily, almost as if being very drowsy or maybe a bit drunk. Have that kind of softness.
Repeat interesting findings, as if you are trying to figure out what is happening. 
Come back to your breathing. 
Let the energy that was activating you slowly go out through each exhale that you make.

Embodying the watery beginnings of animals (A User-Friendly Guide)

We are sharing a series of audible workshops, as part of our user-friendly guide series. 

This text was partly created during a residency at Fabrica de Pensule, in Cluj (RO)in 2019, when Iulia Maracine was invited to take part and collaborate in the devising process of  Bogdan Olarson's newest performance, "I am here still". 
"I am here still" was  also shown in Kiev, at the KyivDanceResidency in August 2019 (curator: Viktor Ruban), and at the National Dance Center in Bucharest in October 2019.

Planthuman (A User-Friendly Guide)

The lyrics draw upon Julio Cortazar's poem, "Axolotl", which Mircea-Andrei Florea (Ludic Collective) further edited and blurred with a more scientifically-inspired perspective.

Walking Fish

This track is a result of a collaboration between Yudit v/d Made, Iulia Maracine, Patricia Vane, Robert Dahlqvist and Andrie v/d Kuit in May, 2017, Den Haag (ND). 

It was created during the collective's work on "Planet i.", a project that researched, from a phenomenological and somatic perspective, topics such as recovery processes from amnesia stages, muscle memory, and cognitive re-development.

This track was originally used as a soundwalk for participants to listen to whilst walking through the city and forests of Den Haag.

Ludic is an interdisciplinary collective of artists with backgrounds in scenography, neuroscience, sound, dance, performance arts, design
and psychology.  We present the idea of each participant as a co-producer
of mutually created situations. Musicians can dance, scenographer can choregraphe, and scientists can be visual artists. 

We create performances, installations, somatic workshops, soundscapes, sense and nonsense.
