For the 28th episode of the Schmaus Podcast Series, we are welcoming Arad (RO) local legend: d¦ffkt.
With over 20 years in the musical industry, he never fails to surprise his audience at every performance. After a progressive house background, he adapted his vision to the developing house music culture, oscillating from deep tech house to microhouse.

His storytelling will lead you to deep musical trips and make you discover his perception of “underground”.
However, d¦ffkt has a talent to disrupt expectations, filling his mixes with euphoric moodiness and musical mystery while experimenting and combining different genres.

d¦ffkt opens his 2-hour set with a nice polyrhythm introduction that builds up into relaxed and deep vibrations. The listener gets lost in aquatic soundscapes, with sonar noises and vocal touches.
The delicate atmospheres and tones are carefully handpicked and contribute to a steady infinite groove. The artist focuses on organic percussions over serene feelings, enhanced with blurred voices that fry the audience’s brain. The selection almost has a psy flavour to it, all in a mind-blowing storytelling.
d¦ffkt also surprises with oriental colours here and there, contrasting with cheesy vocal twists. The light-hearted and positive character of the performance opens the door to introspective, contemplative moments.
And technically speaking, one will recognize the artist’s experience which is manifested through an extraordinary fluidity in mixing in key and seamless transitions.

Munich based DJ and producer nicolas has been spinning records with a deep passion for smooth grooves for over a decade. Always focused on quality sound, he has developed into an audiophile listener, collector and presenter. His deeply personal and unique collection allows him to take in the vibe and connect with the crowd in his own way. Constantly developing his approach to music, he manages to always stay true to himself and his unique taste - a combination of timeless music and contemporary minimal pieces. nicolas’ debut EP moscot, released on WHATNOWBECOMES, is the first release under his new alias. Previously known as nihko, he held residencies at Club Autonomica and Rote Sonne in Munich. During this period, labels such as Visionquest, Suruba, RFR and many more, gave him a fitting platform to release his driving sound.

PRT Stacho’s story is one that’s very much based around an uncompromising will to succeed. A native of Krasnador, he started out like many others with a copy of Fruity Loops; a highly influential computer game that’s undoubtedly earned a place in electronic music history. It hasn’t all come easy though - PRT’s last album was entitled Every Day My Life is Drama, which perhaps goes some way to explaining how his current mood is very much at the centre of his sound.
