His enthusiastic attitude towards experimentation, coupled with an exceptional creative vision and sophisticated design, Lueking is always on the lookout for new challenges.

Who inspired you the most on your path as an artist?

There has never been one single defining artist for me. My inspirations have always come in phases: in the beginning it was mainly Extrawelt, later Oliver Huntemann, and then artists like Adana Twins, Dahu, Toto Chiavetta, Maceo Plex, and Baime. Today I draw a lot from the sound of Raxon, John Monkman, Shall Ocin, James Harcourt, and many others. It’s always been a mix of different artists who have shaped me.

What do you do to get into a creative state?

Creativity comes naturally to me — what gets in the way sometimes is lacking distance. If I leave a production for a few weeks, I return with fresh ears and see the track in a completely new light. Routine also helps a lot: going to the studio regularly, discovering new music, new artists, and new sounds keeps me constantly inspired. Having a clear mind is equally important — I work best when I’ve taken care of other tasks first, so I can fully focus once I’m in the studio. And if nothing flows, I take a deliberate break, because you can’t force creativity. I also never use substances or alcohol in the creative process — my best ideas always come with a clear head.

Favorite release at the moment & of all time?

Right now I’m into those two: Dubfire & Oliver Huntemann – Amor (Devoción Mix) and Maksim Dark – Stamper. If I had to choose an all-time favorite, it would be Trentemøller - Moan (Trentemøller Remix).

Introduction 163 | Lueking

This 3-hour set was recorded at Barracuda Bar in Cologne – a B2B session I played together with Marc (@esistkompliziert). Two different musical signatures that ended up complementing each other perfectly that night. His track selection brought groove, drive, and organic energy, while mine added melodic depth, warmth, and those slightly melancholic moments.

Musically, the set moves between Melodic House, Afro House, and deep atmospheric excursions. We started at 124 BPM and gradually pushed things up to 126 BPM – always smooth, always with intention.

The result is a set that works both on the dancefloor and in more relaxed moments: groovy, warm, melodic, at times dreamy, then more driving again. A positive, cohesive journey with subtle melancholic phases that you can enjoy in pretty much any situation.
