Label Boss is feeding his creature as usual to grow the Techno machine and catching the right vibe to amaze always the listener thanks also to the great range of producers landed on Analytic Trail. This time Markantonio is proud to introduce DJ Emerson, a DJ/Producer from Germany’s scene and CLR Crew that features a lot of productions released on labels like the same CLR, Brood Audio, Electric Deluxe and many others. He’s now landed on Analytic Trail with “Audiopot”, an original track remixed by Flug that doesn’t need introductions due his previous work “Drummer” released on the same Analytic Trail and remixed by Markantonio himself.
Original mix is a straight Techno track, made by industrial old school sound elements and rolling background synth stabs, the listener can drag a dark mood in the middle of the track catching the dub vibe of the drum tricks takin’ over.
Flug remixes “Audiopot” making a wilder version, dark bass sounds and atomic synth stabs are the engine of track, carrying on the listener in an hypnotic Techno dance trip.
Nice job from Germany to Italy, via Spain that’s the power Analytic Trail expansion in the Techno boundaries and not only, thanks also to contribution of the loads of producers always making an amazing work for the label environment.

It was early 2007 when Inigo Kennedy inaugurated Token. Since that Identify Yourself 12” the Belgian label has gone from strength to strength, integrating both Kennedy and Ashley Burchett, aka Ø [Phase], into becoming integral cogs in the Token machine. In between releases by Grovskopa, Oscar Mulero and Go Hiyama, both Ø [Phase] and Inigo Kennedy dominated Token’s output, but it wasn’t until Burchett’s watershed Binary Opposition that Token received the shower of praise it deserved. Following this, label founder Kr!z issued three remix 12”s of that release which, including Token regulars, took in a profound cast of producers to reprocess “Binary Opposition” by the way of Sigha, Peter Van Hoesen, Planetary Assault Systems and Ben Klock. It was here Token stamped their authority on contemporary techno.

Since then Token has grown exponentially, bringing into their fold artists like Xhin, Mark Broom and Rødhåd, while Ctrls, formally one half of Northern Structures, has seen his solo career flourish on Token with the release of five records to date, and he joins Inigo Kennedy and Ø [Phase] as a label stalwart. Additionally this year, Orphx and Ancient Methods debuted their relentless Eschaton collaboration on Token, and Christian Wünsch’s Spherical Coordinates dalliance with Oscar Mulero has gained even more momentum with a second release called Kinematics Equations. Now, seven years after that debut Kennedy record, Token present Aphelion, a nine-track CD and triple vinyl grandstand of new and exclusive material from label regulars and like-minded artists whom Token founder Kr!z specifically commissioned for this milestone release.

The penultimate record before Aphelion was a second Token 12” by Rødhåd, another artist adding to the cultivation of the label’s sound and roster, and for this compilation the Berliner supplies his cosmically inspired “Haumea”. Joining the Dystopian founder on Aphelion are three of the UK’s most influential techno artists: Surgeon, James Ruskin and Luke Slater under his Planetary Assault Systems alias who provide Token with solo material for the first time after previously appearing on the imprint in remix form. Entirely new names to grace the label via Aphelion include Stroboscopic Artefacts founder Lucy, and Blawan and Pariah's Karenn project, while label faithfuls Inigo Kennedy,  Ø [Phase] and Ctrls naturally commit three Token defining productions.

Casting one’s eye over Token’s back catalogue and it’s clear to see the label is a staunch advocate of absolute techno, remaining steadfast in issuing quality material that remains true to classic strands of the genre regardless of its popularity flux. In that respect, Aphelion - a word used to describe the point in orbit when a planet or comet is farthest from the sun - provides a simple analogy that the magnetic force of Token, unfazed by the shadows cast by popular opinion, will proudly shine light on their artists and given styles. 

“We started in an era where our genre was very unpopular,” Kr!z explains. “And in the end that seemed a big advantage for us, because when everyone was giving up, we started our mission.” Regularly hosting label nights in prominent clubs around the world, Token has become a label supported by a wide-ranging body of artists like Âme and Ben Klock to Efdemin, Truss and Ancient Methods. With the label now branching out into album and compilation territory, Token’s duty to techno may not yet be accomplished, but it’s been a job well done.

﻿﻿Featuring three more raw versions based on original tracks from 2000 & One, French Fries and Rødhåd, DJ Edits Volume 4 arrives just in time for the festive season. Precision edited, endorsed and club-tested by Len Faki, the package offers yet another chance to delve into the record bag of the Figure label head.

2000 & One's 'Ethics' is a classic from the 90s that Len has been playing for years. Just the right time for a fresh rework for today's high-fidelity sound systems, this rolling powerhouse opens up with a crunching percussion array before the original's playful melody surfaces and the funk is laid on thick!

The jacking, positively charged 'Journey to Kepler' by French Fries is reworked here by Len into a storming Detroit inspired monster. Constantly building, evolving and mutating, it's a track that never fails to deliver a pure rush of emotions and endorphins every time.

Berlin mainstay Rødhåd's 'Mines Of Mines' gets the full on late night treatment from Len in this tense, broken beat reworking. From subtle layered bleeps and pads forms an extremely dense field of sound. The arrival of a low-deep kick drum formation creates the perfect transition track in this stand-out moment of hypnosis.

In just five tracks, Roman takes us on a ride through a multitude of sounds and emotions from deep to heavy to whimsical and back again. 'With My Hands' opens things up with grinding percussion and a massive call and response of warm industrial synths while a soulful vocal teases and shimmers of resonant acid add a dash of attitude perfect for picking up the pace and burning a hole in the dance floor. 
The title track 'Strange Brew' is up next and it combines chugging organic percussion with classic Detroit house stabs creating an ideal balance between peak time mayhem and the deeper side of things. Picking up the pace, Lindau delivers a burner titled 'Move' with rapid fire percussion, vintage acid lines and a super slick vocal hook that is ready to start a fire any time it gets dropped. 
‘After Dark’ follows up and it might possibly be the biggest and baddest tune of the bunch. Huge melodic stabs and rising strings keep the pressure building while speedy percussion fuels a feverish endeavor. Last not least rounding out the EP with the digital bonus track 'Stab Incision’: a trip into 'Dub' territory with a classic palette of atmospherics versus fierce, modern drums ripe for late nights and early mornings.
Over all Roman Lindau's debut on Second State is an impeccable display of his range and talent and we couldn't be happier to have him on board. Welcome Roman!

In celestial mechanics, an orbital resonance occurs when two orbiting bodies exert a regular, periodic gravitational influence on each other, usually due to their orbital periods being related by a ratio of two small integers.

Producing for over fourteen years, Florian has become known for his deep, grooving powerful techno. His productions are characterised by his love of analog, which represent his true signature sound.
As a DJ, live performer, studio producer and sound designer, Florian has over the years established an impressive producing base for himself in his Berlin based Riverside Studio complex with an exciting hardware set up including Modular Systems, an analog mixing desk as well as classic machines like Roland 909.
Orbital Resonance was produced on his hardware and modular equipment, which he has also been using to produce his upcoming album, which we can expect to hear early 2016.

When Mauro Picotto&#8217;s enormous New Time New Place landed in 2003, it came as one of the pioneering Italian techno producer&#8217;s most stunning tracks yet. 10 years on and it still sounds incredibly fresh and unlike any other track, fizzing with rampant synth energy, thumping beats and delightfully warped, ultra-melodic riffs. It&#8217;s lost none of its charisma or power over time, and still does the damage on a contemporary dancefloor. Great Stuff are bringing back this classic for a new generation, along with three immense remixes.

Dosem comes fresh from big releases for the likes of Intec Digital armed with an absolutely killer groove, laden with chugging sub bass and bouncy percussion. He teases the original&#8217;s soaring chord progression in and out of focus, making for a tensely contrasted version.

Holland&#8217;s Egbert goes heavy on the cowbell and makes the most out of the original&#8217;s manifold refrains, extracting the maximum energy from the sounds therein and fusing them to a funk-fuelled groove that fans of Joris Voorn will likely appreciate. His remix builds pleasingly, utilising the original&#8217;s parts in gradual fashion to reach a fever pitch.

Gary Beck has other ideas, however. He loops the riffs into submission, slowly building a steamroller of a groove that&#8217;s got pace and lots of classic techno weight. The cymbal rides are tough, the bass is murky and dark, and it&#8217;s one for those who likes things tough and heads-down.
