In this exclusive commentary, Grammy-nominated English producer Elderbrook celebrates his latest single, “Teardrop,” with a look back at key moments from his career to date. Reflecting on the making of “Teardrop,” Elderbrook says it’s “one of those songs that kind of just clicked. I was drawn to how simple and honest it felt.” The multi-instrumentalist broke out in 2017 with his track “Cola,” and has since collaborated with acts like Diplo and Bob Moses, among others. His 2020 track “Numb” emerged from the loneliness of being on the road, he says, while 2022’s “Howl,” about his young daughter’s late-night restlessness, was part of an entire album he wrote for his kids.
