Brazilian producer Juliano Gomez makes a call to some electronic wizards to join his new EP Lost Tribes! The title track contains a solid and straight groove, with some vocals from the chief of the tribe, ideal spell for dance rituals , having interpretations by Überhaupt & Außerdem and Jean Vayat, then the song Amaterasu, brings the power of the goddess of the sun in Japanese mythology, along with this strong mantra the versions of Eternal Moment, Emorine and Zuma Dionys. This is my remix of the iconic track by Renegade Soundwave - The Phantom, released in 1987 on Mute Records.

‘The Phantom’ is a perennial dance classic — an early breakbeat track that arrived just as acid house was evolving into its own new UK variant, hardcore. Rinsed at warehouses, in clubs, on pirate radio at the time of its release and for many years afterwards — and by DJs across the board even to this day — its raw funk, explosive mixture of influences and distinctive sound make ‘The Phantom’ universal.

It’s happening! AFTER ALL - who would have thought. The German producer duo „Überhaupt & Außerdem“ release their EP on the 10th of October under the extraordinary label, @baikalnomads.

Überhaupt & Außerdem, @ueberhaupt_ausserdem Philipp and Andreas, children of the German reunification, born on different sides of the Berlin Wall. Twins - 50% east, 50% west. They initially bumped heads in the city of Tübingen as band members and promoters in the creative scene. Soon, they joined their longtime shared passion for electronic music and DJing, which quickly morphed into first independent productions.

Their style has since developed by plunging deeper into production techniques, contemplating the essence of musicality through external critique and constructive feedback - so far by renowned Artists as Solee, Dominik Eulberg and Björn Torwellen, amongst others. During the time of lockdown of the Covid-19 pandemic they fully immersed into their creative work. The fruits of this time are now presented on the „After All“ EP which features the Canadian guitar prodigy Calum Graham and in addition comes with remixes by @deisenmusic , @guymaayanmusic and @julianogomez

Their sound might be perceived as downtempo with substantial attention to detail and complexity. It is sustained by an emotional touching spectrum of fluffy warmth to gloomy drive that never lacks attitude.

Later this year, you can expect more remixes, releases and podcasts among other content through Akasha MX and Katahaifisch.
