after becoming homeless in 2019 living in my car in Los Angeles I got kidnapped. when I got away from the men that grabbed me, I went to stay with a friend in portland but after he thought I was going to sell his computer monitor he kicked me out. So on Xmas eve right when it started to snow the police escorted me out of my best friends home with only a backpack full of clothes and my BMX. I had no clue where to go or what I was going to do so I biked down to the green bridge, tucked myself under it and started to wonder how life could ever be okay again. I then started to write about having a girlfriend that might make me feel better but really I needed my own brain to change my perspective on life. So I figured if I just had more endorphins or serotonin I would be even better off. at that moment I turned my half written fake GF song into a song about serotonin, making it sound like serotonin was actually a girl named Sara Tonin. I then searched through old guitar pieces my friend had sent me and recorded it right there under the bridge.
