Founder of Boy’s Own and Junior Boys Own and an active part of Defected sub-label Faith, Terry Farley is a bonafide house legend. Teaming up with XOYO and Music Box Radio resident Wade Teo, the duo recruit New York-based spoken word artist Kameelah Waheed for a party-starting house cut on Radio Slave’s Rekids.

Terry Farley and Wade Teo team up with Kameelah Waheed to release their new track ‘Why We Dance’ on the hugely respected Rekids imprint. The release is joined with two varied remixes that also make their way onto Radio Slave’s legendary label. Some Rekids alumni include Carl Cox, Ian Pooley, Mark Broom, Hybrasil, Commix, X-Coast and many more.Across the A-side, robust drums, rocking low end, and piano stabs combine to provide the perfect backdrop for Kameelah Waheed’s infectious vocal. This jackin’ house track is a cleverly crafted production with a catchy hook and pulsating groove throughout.

On the flip, Farley and Teo deliver their ‘Lonely Dancer Remix’ to kick off the B-side, adding subtle percussions and floating pads for a grooving rework. Rounding out the release, Farley recruits Kevin Swain for the collaborative ‘Angels Take Control’ remix, with dubbed-out claps, menacing low-end combining for a heads-down closing track.

'The multi-faceted Citizens of Vice label turns its attention to some standout remixes of Paper Street Soul’s 'Saurischian Dancers’ by Sophie Lloyd, Simon Mills, and Andy Buchan.

It is the first lady of disco, Sophie Lloyd who gets things started with her brilliant remix of ‘Always On My Mind’. She ups the feel good piano factor with lush chords lifting your spirits as cosmic pads and hip swinging drums and claps get you moving. It’s one to make a big emotional impact, make no mistake.

Simon Mills is one half of legendary downbeat duo Bent, as well making up half of the Citizens of Vice pair, Somethin’ Sanctified. Here he tackles ‘Moonpig’, using all his many years of know-how, to rework it into a lush and soothing mid- tempo roller with lead hooks that take your mind away. The lavish breakdown is soulful and cathartic and makes this one a most grown up pleasure.

Last of all, music journalist, Hot Digits and Sleazy Deep associate Andy Buchan shows off his mastery of soul-infused disco styles with a deep cut number that has standout vocals and sterling drums and chords. This is a dazzling package of musical disco to make you move and marks another high point for Citizen of Vice.'

Dense & Pika’s Kneaded Pains imprint has been a ‘tour de force’ of late, releasing a consistent stream of top notch techno and electronica from artists like Egbert, Mat Playford, Eats Everything, Charlotte de Whitte, Robots With No Soul, Elisa Bee, Martin Books and many more.
 
The duo have been busy of late, readying their full length album for BMG and dropping a couple of singles as a precursor, including a collaboration with Leftfield.  The ‘Neon’ single comes on their own imprint, pulling together two box fresh cuts in their own inimitable fashion.
 
Charging and thunderous beats are coupled with bright rave piano stabs and cut up vox on ‘Neon’, whilst ‘Gout’ takes a decidedly darker route, nonetheless just as funky, as mangled tones and vocals are injected into a tight and dominant rhythm.
