Maneta is a Portuguese-born DJ and producer who moved to Berlin in 2018. He is the Co-founder and resident DJ of the ongoing @stecker.berlin party series - a collective that brings people together on the dancefloor and gives room to new artists.

Portuguese-born and Berlin-based, maneta is a DJ & producer behind Stecker - a Berlin party series and collective that aims to spotlight emerging artists that embrace vinyl culture as much as maneta does. This vinyl-only mix blends forward-thinking progressive tunes with nostalgic cuts, spanning all the way to early 2000s and ‘90s. Drifting through breaks and tick acid squeaks, this mix takes us to a backwards journey to the roots of what we now call progressive.

Wondering where to go with this mix, I was torn between recording a calm mix with blends of deep-listening pieces or something more energetic, fast-paced. In the end, I went for something in between. Slowed down, with a consistently deep & dubby tone, the mix moves from deep & dreamy to joyful & groovy and backwards, the momentum and energy building and bloom. A mixed bag (vinyl & digital) of deep house, house and early tech house. With music that makes me feel a lot.
