Luigi Ferri is a Copenhagen based film composer.

He started his music career with an alternative rock band he founded in 2001, as lead guitarist, composer and lyricist. With them he played all over the country, won several band contests and participated in a talent show on MTV in 2008.

He studied "Multimedial Composition" at the Music Conservatory "G.Martucci" in Salerno, a Master in Film Music at "Lizard Academy" in Florence, Jazz Piano, Harmony and Composition with Amedeo Tommasi and Advanced Jazz Harmony and Arrangement with Marco Tiso in Rome.
He also attended the "Electronic Music Composition Camp" at Rytmisk Musikkonservatorium in Copenhagen.

Since 2010 he has scored about 30 short films and 10 commercials.

He won the X Jerry Goldsmith Award for the category "Best Music for Advertising" with the project "Every Single Moment" and he won the XI Jerry Goldsmith Award for the arrangement of the song "Perderti Ora" by Giulia Penna, ending titles of the short film "Rosa Blu".
He was nominated for "Best Music for a Feature Film" at "Mercurio D'Argento" festival in 2019 for the music of the feature film “Le Grida Del Silenzio” and for "Best Music" at "Top Indie Film Awards" 2018, for the music of the short film "Schermi".
He was also nominated in the best 10 score for Lavagnino Festival, a well known Film Music Composition competition in Italy.

In 2013 he started the collaboration with Marco Werba, and with him he composed the additional music for three feature films:
- "Blood in Bahia's hot" by Aurelio Grimaldi
- "Fratelli di Sangue" by Pietro Tamaro, released in Italian theaters on 10 November 2016 and broadcasted on national TV.
- "Dead On Time" by Rish Mustaine, starring Michael Madsen. Orchestral recordings of the soundtrack were recorded in Sofia by the Bulgarian National Radio Symphony Orchestra, available on Amazon Prime Video.
In 2018 he scored the feature film "Le Grida Del Silenzio", by Sasha Alessandra Carlesi, released in Italian theaters on 10 May 2018 and available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video.

Other than the film music he compose and play guitar an Alternative Rock/Post Rock band in Copenhagen called "The Place I Belong"
