C. Da Afro, raised on the soul, funk, and disco of the ’80s, has been collecting vinyl since the age of 13 and producing groove-laden disco edits since 2009. A staple of the scene and co-owner of Voice Radio 102.5, he’s held down a Saturday midnight show for over 18 years. With releases on respected labels like Midnight Riot, Tropical Disco, Samosa Records, and Good Custard — and having already featured on The Good Custard Mixtape — he’s one of the team’s longtime favourites, and we couldn’t wait to have him back. His signature feel-good, disco-driven sound continues to light up dance floors and vinyl collections worldwide.

I’ve been a DJ since 1992, and I’ve played countless unforgettable sets over the years— but this night hit different. After 13 years, I returned as a headliner, and the energy, the love, the vibe… it couldn’t have been more perfect.

What made it even more special was being surrounded by likeminded house heads—people who live and breathe this music just like I do. We weren’t just playing records… we were grooving together. The community that Josh and Mari are building is something rare and beautiful, and I’m incredibly honored to have been part of that journey.

To everyone who came out, danced, and shared that magic with us—thank you from the bottom of my heart. That set was pure passion, and I can honestly say it was one of the greatest of my career.
