My old friend Strootman Pianomonster (will post soon on https://soundcloud.com/stroot-246138153) sent me some of his baroque recordings on harpsichord. I've worked on one of them with all the Ruizzoid stuff you can hear, and even translated to Latin one of my old poems!

Notes
This song was supposed be about the irony of how thinking too much a lot of the time hides our actual wisdom. I had been considering the reason as "our version of reason" up to the point of our thoughts flow. this can get warped and bias quite easily. What I've found with writing is that it's when I'm at my most relaxed and thinking about nothing at all, is when I get the most complicated lyrical thought flow. I'm considering it's down to switching off my current bias thought which is filled with emotion and reactive to the environment. Where as Buddha mode, which my Grandad would say is us in our subconscious (Bill was an amazing poet) seems to offer a better delivery of the wisdom we have learned via intuitive access. In the moment it feels like a simultaneous firing of everything up there but at the same time is effortless. It's an incredible contrast between a non meditative state and that tranquil one where counterintuitively one would assume your not getting answers.... TBC

The Shrew makes it important as the Shrew lives on instinct... As does Yoda somewhat... He saw a thing moving he's never seen before and acted on instinct. The Shrew was just being a Shrew and being it's instinctual self. Our ability to reason so well has maybe got us out of touch with our instinct way too much and hence we create this bias avatar with regularily very questionable ego based views of reality  (me included obviously)


The Shrew doesn't live in its mind in the sense that it can't be distracted from a mission by a detailed reasoning of its environment and is guided by its instinct. Maybe we do live in our minds too much, my Aunt and spiritual guide always telling me I do anyways...

Time to meditate more maybe and get better at switching off the noise 🔆 Shrew power 🤍

This was a seed that Chris came up with on his acoustic guitar, adding beats, and some subtle vocals, then shared with Josh and Stephen. They are always excited to work on Chris' songs, because he always comes up with magical tunes.
  Josh was first in line, adding his five string fretless bass, then the organ part. Stephen used Josh's chord structure to come up with his awe-inspiring, monster electric sitar part. After they both laid down their parts, Chris added the electric guitar you hear at the beginning, too. 
  The song was about twice the current length when Chris made it, but Josh chopped off the second half, as the crescendo fits right into the 2/3 slot now. This was mixed as a team effort in BandLab, too, which is a rarity, given both Stephen and Chris are expert producers. 
  This is an example of a song Chris came up with, that was taken to the next level by Josh and Stephen. We hope you enjoy listening to this as much as we enjoyed creating it.
