Out of the bunch of oldies that I beefed up for this project, this song is the only one that got the full remix treatment. Mainly cause it was the last one and I just had it with remaking my old music. After making a CD length of those, it’s just a way too heavy burden to solve programming issues with an 11 year old project. The other insignificant reason was that originally this track was made with Logic, back in the days when Logic was a valid DAW that worked on PC’s with Windows. 

I had a lot of fun fiddling with the new version of “Perfect Ace”, hope you like it!

Kalki - Japan (Original Mix)

Probably one of the tracks that created the Perfectly Strange fame is this remix. Back in 2006, making this kind of bassline for a trance track would be considered a sort of blasphemy. I just started to flirt with my affection for other styles of slower music, and in those genres, specifically minimal tech, having just a bass on the kick wasn’t that inconceivable. I remember after hearing Diringer – Topolino ( Diringer & Namito Remix ) I decided to implement this on Tomasz’s amazing “KNS”. I just felt this kind of minimalism and “standing trance” ( as a contrary to “driving trance” ) can really resonate with the original’s amazing atmospheres and melodies.

“Easy” was probably the second best selling track I ever wrote. It was charted by big name Techno DJ’s and played all over at Techno and Trance events alike. It was also remixed by Quantize some 6 years ago, and they squeezed that break lemon till the max. When Liran requested to remix this track, I was curious to hear what he's gonna do, cause obviously going down the same alley again wouldn't be very interesting. The result is a truly fresh combination of minimal tweakage and maximal epicness. Sometimes it’s much easier to go the Easy road but it’s quite rewarding to take a road no one's taken before, and get it done with style.

Audiotec’s Alien Dreams set fires to dancefloors all over the world. IKØN has now taken control of that dream and infused it with a new and rejuvenated energy. The classic track has now been pushed further along the line separating the ethereal realm of dreams and our own reality and is now seeping through speakers everywhere. Audiotec’s original Alien Dreams was magnificent, IKØN remix brought it to now and turned it into a lucid dream.
