Mathys Lenne explores new and immersive techno sonics with his ‘Detlev’ EP on Mutual Rytm.

French DJ/producer Mathys Lenne’s artistic vision is rooted in his deep connection to rhythm. Telling stories with his sounds while drawing inspiration from poetry and cinema and blending hypnotic textures with raw intensity, his music is widely supported across the scene via labels like Mord, Hayes and more. Across five vinyl cuts and three digital bonuses, the four-deck wizard keeps it deeply atmospheric with his label debut on SHDW’s Mutual Rytm imprint, combining elements of psychedelic rock, unique voice samples and saturated synths to create a sound that feels immersive and unrestrained in contrast to the fast-paced, visceral techno he has become known for.

‘Detlev’ opens up with hefty kicks that demand you quicken your step, while industrial effects and creepy design brings the detail that makes the track pop. The classy ‘Natural Born Killers’ rides on firm kicks with loopy percussive details tightly coiled, ensuring you are forever on edge as the drums march on. ‘Choose Your Pill’ is a stripped-back and pulsing deep techno cut with deft synths that peel off the groove, before ‘Untidy Echo’ delivers a cavernous sound with sparse hits and low-end rumbles that place you in the centre of an underground cavern. ‘Enfer ou Ciel’ featuring D.E.S brings a sense of melancholy in the occasional string sounds and watery droplets that float over more frictionless, meditative beats - while the trio of digital bonus cuts brings moody subterranean rollers ranging from snaking and dubby to more drum-led and eerie tones.

HAUMS announces second album Squaring the Circle, out April 25 on Quantum Feels

American innovator HAUMS returns with Squaring the Circle, his second full-length album, releasing April 25, 2025, on his own Quantum Feels imprint. Across eight expansive tracks, HAUMS invites listeners into a cinematic and deeply spiritual journey through melodic house—one that explores the eternal dance between the finite and infinite, the human and the divine.

Guided by a belief in the transformative power of music, HAUMS creates sound as ceremony—each track designed to awaken the body, stir the soul, and open portals of possibility. His productions are known for their emotional depth, majestic synthscapes, and hypnotic grooves, earning him 16 Beatport Top 100 placements and support from icons like Tiësto, Nora En Pure, and Vintage Culture.

The album opens with “Lost On Mars”, a soaring voyage through cosmic textures and crisp, slinky drums, before the powerful “Awake Me (Club Mix)” delivers a wave of cathartic energy through pulsing rhythms and transcendent vocals. “Resist and It Persists (Club Mix)” shifts the mood with driving percussion and darker, introspective tones, while “Power of Love” seduces with whispers and a rolling, hypnotic bassline.

“Reality”—featuring an evocative Alan Watts vocal—offers a moment of reflective stillness, as melancholic pads blur the lines between sound and silence. “Steps” then lifts the energy with luminous melodies and hopeful progressions, leading into the cinematic tension of “Into The Quantum”, a track that fuses drama and devotion through its undulating bass and ethereal atmosphere. Neither Nor are a duo that have established themselves as pioneers of the Antalya techno scene, as well as blowing up internationally thanks to various releases on the likes of KD RAW, Odd Recordings, Jeton Records, Senso Sounds, and IAMT.

The pair are now releasing their first EP on Oliver Huntemann’s Senso Sounds, the label they have a strong affinity with, soundwise. Scoop makes the case for this right off the bat - a pulsating rhythm with inventive synth lead and whispered vocals. It’s shared here in its original form and as an extended version.

Frequency is a track the duo originally produced in 2022, but revisited recently with fresh ears and new production skills. As the guys say, “the track now embodies our refined production style, combining dance floor energy with intricate sound design.” It's also here as an original version and a longer cut for the DJs.
