PAULUM Records proudly opens 2026 with its first release of the year: Picture Day EP by Berlin-based young talent Frida Carlos, out on January 9, 2026.

Across three carefully crafted tracks, Frida Carlos delivers a detailed and playful journey through minimal house, enriched with warm, dubby textures and subtle grooves. His productions balance precision and emotion, inviting both close listening and late-night dancefloor moments.
Beyond the studio, Frida Carlos is deeply rooted in Berlin’s underground culture. He curates his own intimate event series “Durch Reise” in a secret Neukölln location, shaping a space where music, community, and atmosphere come together organically. After a strong run of releases throughout 2025 - including standout works on our friends at Zapped Records, home to artists such as Annina and OneKnock - this EP marks a new chapter in his artistic journey.

On remix duties, label founder Casimir von Oettingen reimagines the title track Picture Day with a bouncy, forward-moving groove. Staying true to Paulum’s minimal roots, the remix adds a powerful peaktime energy and dancefloor drive, bridging Frida Carlos’ original vision with the evolving sound of the label.

With Picture Day EP, Paulum Records sets the tone for the year ahead. Fresh perspectives, detailed craftsmanship and a continued commitment to the underground.

Luisa Malonek is a DJ from Medellín who, after three years of constant learning and exploration, is in a solid process of artistic development, building an elegant and professional sound.

Her inspiration stems from the deep emotions of House music and the powerful bass energy of Tech House. Malonek has developed an infallible formula: precisely flowing harmonic mixes, punchy bass, and sweet, enveloping vocals, creating an immediate and electrifying connection with her audience.
Her musical style has taken her to perform in cities such as Barranquilla, Bogotá, Neiva, and Medellín, sharing her essence and solidifying her presence within the electronic music scene.
