Diving in -new sound!!

Disclaimer: This is getting personal, much like many of my mixes. I suppose it's a way to tap into a happy place I didn't realize I had, so I'm embracing it—taking inspiration from the music and sharing it with you.
Does that make sense?

So...my stepfather passed away last week. He was a constant presence while I was growing up and taught me so much. I'm eternally grateful.
I've certainly been feeling sad, and I have to write an obituary, which is proving incredibly difficult to put words on paper!
My hubby (https://soundcloud.com/yssup ) knew exactly what I needed and told me to just start mixing! I hesitated, checked out all the new tracks he'd gathered for us.
I started, and ended up exploring catalogs of music I hadn't heard before (well, maybe one or two exceptions), resulting in a 3-hour session behind the Pioneer controller.

It definitely made me feel a bit better! So, I want to share this with you.
It may not be the song curation that my Gisli would have chosen, and I miss playing "My Way" by Frank Sinatra, but it's something. I know he would have listened to my stuff and probably not liked much of it, lol.

RIP Gisli! I'll see you in the next chapter, and thank you for everything you gave me in life <3
