The universe is full of shapes and colors that are fascinating to the human eye. Even violent phenomena that occur leave a trace of unusual beauty.

With this album, as the name suggests, we will try to represent in the form of music different landscapes of space, from deeper to more intense, according to what the human eye would perceive in them.

Here is a little description of each track to guide you through the experience.

Rings Of Saturn: the characteristic beauty of this planet is due to its rings. This track is the journey of the thousands of icy particles that form them, orbiting at high speeds.

NGC 1535: this blue nebula, known as Cleopatra’s Eye Nebula, recalls the color and shape of the ancient Egyptian goddess, as well as the secrets yet to be discovered.

Pulsar: with this track we can observe the power of the electromagnetic radiation that forms it, spinning furiously and leaving astonishing colors that induce hypnosis.

Solar Storm: represents the strength of the geomagnetic storm, and in turn, the amazing images such as the dazzling northern lights that can be seen from Earth.

Iron Rainfall: this track represents the chaotic phenomenon that occurs on the exoplanet Wasp-76b, which, due to its high temperature, vaporizes the iron that later falls as rain.
Barred Spiral Galaxy: the hypnotic repetitive rhythm of this song is reminiscent of the spiral arms of this type of galaxy.

Gravitational Collapse: a stellar body can self-destruct due to the effect of its own gravity until it forms a black hole. This track reflects the violence in which a large star collapses in a few seconds.

Strange Orbits: there are some cosmic objects that don’t follow a regular orbit, making variations and forming oval orbits. The synth sound in this song will try to move your mind in this way.

Oxygeno - Pulsar

Making his debut into the world of techno, the crazy-haired Dutch rave enthusiast, Thimo Konings has joined the Gem family with a massive 2-track EP titled ‘On The Wire’. The leading track wastes no time by immediately sending the listener down a path of no return. ‘On The Wire’ expresses itself with relentless power, which is accompanied by delayed foley and creates space within itself to make it smash on any dancefloor. Next up, we have ‘Sturm’, which can quickly be summed up as the dark horse of the release. ‘Sturm’ encompasses everything that the perfect hypnotic techno banger needs, and it never shies away from pulling you deeper and deeper into the abyss.

Joining forces for the first time are label founder Len Faki and Juxta Position, a rather fresh yet already integral member of Figure. How effectively the prolific producers worked them machines with combined strength shows in every fiber of this four-tracker.

The record‘s sides feature two alternate mixes of each track: Superstition tempts with is sultry vocal, driven by an irresistible acidic groove, fusing Juxta Position’s preference for rough and analogue sounds with the tight programming Len Faki has become renowned for. Paying tribute to UK’s gritty brand of warehouse-techno, A2 introduces a more swinging and all-out version of the track.

A lot more tender than its counterpart, Gathering Clouds slowly builds from jagged synths and droning basses, brewing up a vivid tempest of anticipation. Verging carefully on the moment of emotional release, we are left to imagine the theatrical scenery cooked up in this delicious blend of the two artists’ singular skills.

Sound> Classifying Flores’s sound is a difficult feat, and that is precisely the  point. His personality and experience are present in every track he produces, resulting in a dark, groove driven sound. Luis’s interaction with the machine becomes the listeners’ interaction with auditory landscapes of eeriness, altered states and paranoia. A minimal use of elements results in a rich spectrum of textures and a dark and trippy dance floor pull. Live shows, improvisational in nature, can last anywhere from 2- 5 hours, resulting in a hypnotic exploration of the possibilities of electronic production.

Bio> In the more than 17 years he has been producing electronic music, Luis Flores has not only made a name for himself but has been at the forefront of a movement that made the city of Guadalajara, Mexico, a hot spot for electronic music production and events. At the center of this movement was Nopal Beat Records, a label he ran from 1998 to 2006. At the same time, he also worked with the city’s cultural bureau to produce a string of massive, free public events that could bring electronic music to a wider group of people and provided a stage for local producers.

In 2007, he returned to the studio focused once again in his techno roots which quickly yielded results like his enduring relationship with L.A.’s Droid Behavior or the demand for his live shows.

In 2009 the release of the “Damage” EP on Droid Recordings, established Flores as an international artist with its immediate success, making the charts of artists such as Speedy J, The Detroit Grand Pubbahs and Chris Liebing’s Best 10 of 2009. In 2010, Dietrich Schoenemann’s Hidden Agenda released “Pain + Prosthetics”, an EP which among other things includes a collaboration with Canadian: Vitamins 4 U.

Flores published “Love Your Machine” under the German imprint Micro.Fon the following year. Further exploring the audiovisual aspect of his music, he created the video teaser for the single using J.G. Ballard’s “Crash” as reference and inspiration.

In 2012 he returned to Droid for the release of “New Flesh” which included remixes by label owner Drumcell and CLR’s Brian Sanhaji. This year was also marked by people's interest in his sound with remix requests for legendary names like Jam n Spoon and The Advent.

2013 began with his first collaboration with Berlin based producer Material Object and the release of the “Crowd Control” EP under the Impact Unit moniker for the French label Silent Steps and in 2014 he released “Rituals of Submission” on Detroit’s Blank Code, “Test Pattern” EP in the Spring for CLR and the “Metal” remix for Black Asteroid under EDLX.

He began 2015 with the the release of “43” on Alex Bau’s Credo compilation and with his 3rd release for Droid Recordings, the “Static Forces” EP.

Luis has represented México at the Meet in Beijing, ADE in Amsterdam, Borderline Festival in China, Brussels BEMF, among others.
