Waiting is sort of an interim state that exists because of a future occurrence. But what kind of feelings are triggered if you realize that the anticipated event fails to occur? “I’m waiting for nothing.” Do you feel frustrated? Does the waiting period become a farce? Was it all for nothing?
“Waiting”, the latest track by melodic techno artist R.EK, addresses this ambiguous, hard to define emotional state. The staggering, driving bass line represents frustration; the catchy chord progression depicts despair. And every now and then, hope still shimmers through. 
In this instance, all the waiting wasn’t in vain. It was the seed for an infectious track that will resonate in your ears for a while.

About KNOTEN
Under the umbrella of KNOTEN, R.EK is currently developing a new live performance concept that attempts to reinvent the communication between the artist and the audience by adding innovative visuals to the show. Miyagi and Cipy & Althoff are sending us on a ride over railroads. Miyagis 'Ghost Train' is the first one to take us away. It is a mysteriously sounding track but very smooth as a nightly train ride is supposed to be. Most outstanding is the half paced hiphop beat during the break. 'Locomotivus' by Cipy & Althoff is the playful arpeggio rider takes us next to experience its mechanical sounds. Transfer back on Mjyagis 'Pineapple Express', which is coming forward with more power, a groovy bassline, subtle acid and a very serious synth. Finally hopping back onto Cipy & Althoffs ride called 'Peephole'. This one does push the energy level even a bit further. Especially the mind grabbing race synth contributes to that.

Heave that sigh and unwind with an idyllic jaunt through the peaks and troughs of House, as Forniva and
Eleven Sins unfurl MBR396. The Bosnian producers who broke through and flourished in the progressive
realm, team up once again, rendering a harmonic collision of two rising stars within MoBlack Records’
purview. Forniva and Eleven Sins’ 13:23 minute excursion starts off with Vesela. and a blithe attitude in
tow. Textured stratas of organic and synthetic elements tread Vesela forward, driven by a seductive
groove that piques senses from the get go. Chic tempering of reverb and timbre rivets, while pitched high
notes touch all nerve endings of the chromatic spectrum, 6:52 minutes of absolute dancefloor elation -
that’s what Vesela stands for anyway. Turning over, the duo wraps up their EP with a rhythmic,
bass-chasing finale. While A side usurps the senses and darts through emotions, B side is physics-savvy,
triggering lithe movement as it sets temperatures and vigor rising. Rich with percussion and sultry riffs,
Krater is a standout dance track, bent on enrapturing bodies in rhapsodic groove from start to finish, a
fulfilling complement to its melodic predecessor.
