A collaborative work between @basile.de.suresnes and @thesocialfugazi who was noticed a few months earlier on Frappé records. The two producers deliver a work that is surprising to say the least, as it contrasts with the universe that we knew from them. Here, no glitter or disco ball, no groovy bass line, but a sound made of machines, samples and broken rhythms.

UK inspirations, Electronica, and a touch of house. A raw coloring totally assumed by the artists and enriched with their French “touch”.

This EP reminds us of the richness and diversity of electronic music, and how good it is to mix styles ! Bazdesur records promotes electronic music in the broad sense.

Out with their third EP of 2016, this August Monkey Safari will release 'Boris,' with remixes by Guy Mantzur and Victor Ruiz, showing the world once again that these guys aren't messing around. 'Boris' is the follow up to their successful mega-EP, 'Bernstein,' released in June, with remixes by John Digweed & Nick Muir and UNER. Their next four-track EP shows the brothers' more serious, grownup side, taking new risks with no vocals, utilizing empty spaces and slower buildups. 'Boris' showcases proper club music: dark and sweaty Tech House with a hypnotic twist.
In the first track of the EP, self-titled "Boris," Sven and Lars go even deeper into their trance trajectory bridging on the darker side of Techno. The second track, "Dodge," takes listeners on a mystical journey playing with deep ambient sounds and a drop that makes your heart speed up. Tel Aviv-based producer Guy Mantzur (Kompakt / Bedrock / Diynamic) drops his hypnotic and seductive remix of "Boris," impossible not to get lost in. Additionally, Brazilian producer Victor Ruiz’s up-beat and complex remix of "Dodge" is not to be missed. Monkey Safari's dedication to their craft is catching the attention of industry dignitaries and fans alike with their consistent releases and non-stop international touring. Marcus Meinhardt’s track “Hibiskuss” brings pulsating and warm tropical layers together, seducing its listener into total indulgence. The tribal percussions set the tone, shaking and grooving throughout the track and thus providing a framework for the beautiful melody. Having a light melancholic touch to it, which is underlined by the vocal elements, there is still a positive vibe radiating off the track. Through the build up it feels like you are taken on a journey following new, enchanting soundscapes, culminating in a twirl of bliss in the break. Don’t sit around and wait, have a cup of Dr. Meinhardt’s highly recommended “Hibiskuss” tea.

'Mention Yoshitoshi to someone who grew up raving in the late 90's and early 2000's and there's a good chance they'll get a twinkle in their eye as memories of tracks like Eddie Amador's 'House Music,' PQM's 'You Are Sleeping,' Alactraz's 'Giv Me Luv', and Luzon's 'The Baguio Track' come flooding back. The label has produced some of dance music's most timeless records, including some of Deep Dish's own early work & remixes, plus iconic tracks like Chiapet's 'Westworld' and 'Tick Tock', Brother Brown's 'Under The Water', Kings of Tomorrow's numerous classics as KOT and Mysterious People, YMC's 'Last Stop,' Dino Lenny's 'I Feel Stereo,' 2 Smokin' Barrels' 'Basses Loaded,' Sasha & BT's seminal '2 Fat C**ts,' Lexicon Ave's 'Here I Am,' Loudeast's 'Lights Off!' and many many more. The list is really too long. Through it all Yoshitoshi's focus has always been to push forward entire genres of music and never allow itself to be pinned down to one style or sound. In celebration of its rich twenty-five-year history in dance music, Yoshitoshi will release three unique compilations each filled with a 25 track mix of remastered classics, modern hits, and new remixes from some of the greatest names in House, Techno, and Melodic House. 

For the Techno edition of Yoshitoshi 25, we've dug deep into the archives and pulled out the finest tracks that define the darker side of Yoshitoshi's history. This includes remastered versions of classic tracks like Dish Out Bum's 'Gak Trak' Chiapet's 'Tick Tock,' 2 Smokin' Barrels' 'Basses Loaded,' and Timeline's 'Clockwork Orange,' as well as modern cuts like Victor Ruiz's 'Rollercoaster,' ANNA's 'Momentum,' Nicole Moudaber's seminal remix of Alcatraz's 'Give Me Luv', and Loco & Jam and Frankyeffe's 'Splitting Minds.' To spice things up, we've included three brand new remixes from Moonwalk, label regular Olivier Giacomotto, and Dubspeeka. Moonwalk takes on Phil Kieran's 'I Love You,' creating a deep mix that emphasizes the Italian duo's knack for catchy, earworm synth patterns and hold-your-breath build-ups that deliver in the club. Olivier takes on one of the earliest entries in the Yoshitoshi catalogue, Hani's 'Irieheaven,' flipping the originally squelchy 303 tune into one of his bold, signature hands-in-the-air techno anthems. Dubspeeka remixes Sharam's classic from 2009 'Secret Parkway,' turning the track into a moody late-night warehouse banger complete with spooky synths and gobs of low end. Following up the deep and uplifting Yoshitoshi 25: House compilation, the Techno edition takes you to the other side of the coin and once again demonstrates the label's diverse history and versatility. Luismi López is a DJ, music producer, radio host, and promoter with over 25 years of experience in the music industry. His talent has been recognized throughout Spain and he has left his mark in some of the most important clubs in the Valencian Community and many other places.

With a career that began in the 90s, Luismi López has stood out as a versatile and experienced artist, capable of connecting with different audiences and conveying unique emotions through his music. As a resident DJ, he has performed in iconic clubs such as Rockola, Albades, Banana's, The Natural, or KM, among many others.

In addition to his career as a resident DJ, Luismi López has also been a recognized radio DJ, working on several stations in the Valencian Community. His program + CLUB, presented alongside the legendary Vicente Bartual, became the audience leader in the Valencian Community, reaching an average of 250,000 daily listeners. This led him to act as a guest DJ throughout the region and other parts of the country.

Luismi López's passion for music leads him to prefer long sessions, with many hours, where he can develop different musical landscapes and tell a story to the audience. His ability to read the audience and create a unique and energizing atmosphere has made his name highly respected in the music industry.

Currently, Luismi López is the resident DJ and CEO of the promoter UnderCover, which is in the process of expansion. This promoter, which has a fresh and avant-garde approach, has become one of the most outstanding in the current music scene.
