5 years of Sans Contrefaçon, of sound, of party, of meeting without genre or fake copy! You gave yourselves to our dark dancefloor as you were in the name of freedom and techno music. In 5 years, we have carried out actions together that have caused an earthquake and awareness on a national level! Together we have imposed our utopia of partying inclusively as we wish in complete safety and freedom! So thank you all, our diversity is our strength and we are waiting for you to blow out these candles together because it's a bit your birthday too 🙂
And what better way to do it than with a Berlin-based trendy queer activist collective.
SUBVERTED is a trans-led label and event series focusing on dark industrial techno with noise, drone, EBM, and hypnotic influences.
The collective curates queer sex-positive parties with equally queer line-ups, featuring mostly non-binary and trans DJs. The aim is to highlight artists with gender identities that are under-represented in the music industry, showing that it is possible to have more inclusive and diverse booking practices without diminishing the music quality, but in fact increasing it by bringing new and previously unheard (or fresh au lieu de previously unheard) perspectives to the dance floor.
SUBVERTED resists the homogenisation and sanitisation to which the techno industry has been subjected in recent years, through its political and artistic choices.
