Alex Barck is known for participating at as many parties as possible simultanously. Now he invites for the very first time in his career to his own and personal bash. To the island La Reunion in the Indian Ocean to be exact. That’s where he settled with his entire family for a whole year since last summer to complete his probably most ambitious work ever: His debut solo album. The fist guest to be received is Pete Josef from Bristol (one half of The White Lamp), who wrote the lyrics for “Re-Set” and lends his voice to it naturally. A voice that suits perfectly Barcks twisted but always highly accessible productions. As a DJ who lives for the dancefloor Barck comes up with a track that make your legs shake and - in the second part - your hands raise. To assign the talents of newcomer Hannes Fischer to do a remix is a clever move. The latest wunderkind of the Berlin techno/house scene has an impressive sensitiveness for nuances like only very few have nowadays. In his rework he squeezes the essence out of “Re- Set” and fills it rich in content into a flacon that spreads somehow the odor of lavender. Until the release of the album “Reunion” there will be further three 12″ coming out of the holiday residence Barck. Stay tuned! In the meantime there still will be DJing in selected locations, work for the project Prommer & Barck (a second album is in the making), A&R managing for Sonar Kollektiv and of course active support of Jazzanova.

When Saints Go Machine released their sophomore album, <a href="https://itunes.apple.com/gb/album/infinity-pool/id627437295" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Infinity Pool</a> 

It’s an album born out of an atmosphere of chaos, showing the band -- Nikolaj Manuel Vonsild (vocals), Jonas Kenton (keyboard), Simon Muschinsky (keyboards), and Silas Moldenhawer (drums) -- operating outside of their comfort zone, an approach leading to great results for this four-piece from Copenhagen. As with debut album, Konkylie, most of the productions consist of layers built upon layers in each song, however, with Infinity Pool, they aimed to make each layer sound immediate and simple resulting in a harder, darker, slower and more synthetic feel. Regardless of approach and environment, Infinity Pool still retains that signature When Saints Go Machine longing feeling, the glue that holds the album together. &#13;

Following Infinity Pool’s first single “Love and Respect” feat. Killer Mike, the band is sharing a remix of the albums second single  “Iodine” by fellow Danish producer Hankat.&#13;

Hankat brings a deeper flavour to Iodine, laying the vocals effortlessly over a sped-up house groove creating a somewhat dreamlike club track. The bassline drives the mix under crisp hi-hats and floating pads, coupled with the airy vocals, resulting in that unmistakeably atmospheric sound the Hankat is widely known for. &#13;

"At first there was a remix:
For the first part of our Split Series „Hamburg“ the Hamburg based Band Me Succeeds made a remake of Arp Auberts „Actress“. In Return Arp Aubert, consisting of Mirau Label founder Stephan Lorenz, made a beautiful, dreamy remix for Me Succeeds „Riemerling“. Now the remixing goes on in full album length: After their latest long player „Rongorongo“ from 2011, which Me Succeeds released on their own imprint isawmusic, the band will return on Ki Records with a remix album. Eleven friends were invited to put their hands on the album’s tracks and give their interpretation. Besides a whole lot of danceable tracks you will also find some broken beats and spherical electronica here, which makes this release fit in perfectly in the Ki catalogue. Under the motto „never change a running system“ of course Arp Aubert once again had his hands on one of the tracks, turning „Rongorongo“ into a driving techno track which is underlined by the emotional vocals of lead-singer Mohna and beautiful melodies making this remix perfect for the early hours on the dancefloor. The Berlin based producer and DJ Iron Curtis gives the original of “Seventeen” a dubby note that is definitely special as he uses many vintage synthesizers-sounds and broken pieces of the original vocals to make this remix one of the strongest on this album. The last remix on the album was done by Greek musician Chronik, who turns „Books“ into a hymn with twisted rhythm and broken beats. It’s the perfect ending reminding us a lot of the recently on Ki released „Saints“ by Monokle. Apart from that, a few more great producers such as Tilmann Tausendfreund, Showing Off The Bling Bling, Christian Löffler, On Stop Off, My First Trumpet, Bug Lover and Suburb contributed to this Rongosium."
