I love this song. It makes me so sad that they never made available to purchase, I so want it in lossless to add to my Bring Ya To The Brink Album.

Well I waited over 20 years to let you have a listen. I expect somebody out there will say they have a copy 'cos I always give stuff to my mates, but here is OPEN UP YOUR WINDOWS which was recorded for the last CC album, COMPUS MENTUS. It never made the cut but was always a fave of me and Kev!! Produced by the immaculate Chris Neil and engineered by a truly brilliant American engineer, Rob Eaton. Unusual because we demoed it and decided to each play the same instruments on the master. So that meant I played main guitar with all the riffs 'cos Kev said he thought it was so scruffy and "Nick". Kev played all the 12 string parts/bass and some of the key parts too. It's a bizarre song for CC. I was shocked by the 80's bombs in Ulster and so wrote a couple of songs about the widows of the victims on whichever side of the troubles. The other was BRASS BUTTONS. I might share one day. We've uploaded it at low resolution and with some audio foils inserted as I am precious about those who pinch rare stuff..so apologies for it not being pristine. We were gonna call it "Could've Been a Love Song" but Chris liked Open Up Your Windows. Nice memory is me asking Kevin to play a military kind of melody over the snare drums and he immediately played The British Grenadiers tune. I said to him it worked perfectly and I knew it so well; he replied had no idea what it was but had heard it regularly as a kid in Commonwealth Canada at every major Tournament or official visit. Hope you like the track's brashness and honesty. I loved playing it, as he didn't let me play much guitar on the albums.. Ha Ha.  (P.S. Pete Van Hooke on drums)
