Alliance Of Music 045 | BATMAN (UK - LONDON)

Fixture in the underground music scene, Batman’s journey as a DJ and promoter began at the age of 16, when he first got behind the turntables. Drawn to the raw, hypnotic energy of Acid Techno, he quickly immersed himself in the world of fully-loaded 303 sounds. His early performances at CROSSED in Szczecin marked the start of a career that would take him to some of Europe’s most iconic venues, including the legendary 414 in Brixton (London) and Union in Vauxhall. His roots also stretch to the underground rave scene of London, where he played some of the greatest free parties.

As the years passed, Batman’s sound evolved from the fierce intensity of Acid Techno to a more groove-driven, hypnotic approach—one that resonates deeply with those who seek immersive, mind-altering rhythms. Over his two-decade-long career, he has shared the decks with some of the most respected names in the scene, including Sterling Moss, Aaron Liberator, Patrick DSP, Bad Boy Pete, Jethro ThermoBee, Billy Nasty, Jeff Amadeus, Tassid, Marcello Perri, and James Kinetec, among many others.

In recent years, Batman has focused his energy on a new project—a podcast dedicated to uncovering the hidden gems of the underground music world. With this new venture, he shines a spotlight on the artists and stories that have remained in the shadows, revealing the forgotten, yet influential sounds that define the true essence of underground culture.

With over two decades of experience, Batman continues to be a vital force in the underground music scene—both as a DJ who moves minds and bodies and as a curator of the raw, unfiltered music that has always been the beating heart of rave culture.

Electric Rescue is considered one of the made-in-France masterpieces of the Electronic Music but also a worldwide renowned artist. His tracks are regularly played by respected names like Laurent Garnier, Len Faki, Ben Klock, Dax J, Fjaak, Ellen Allien, Perc, Marcel Dettmann, Sven Väth, Slam or Luke Slater.

This set is a live recording of his last gig at FVTVR Club in Paris.

For our new release on Say What? we welcome Oscar Sanchez who delivers a hypnotic and groove-infused journey into the deeper cycles of techno.

Starting with 'Circadian Rhythms' - the track kicks off with pulsing low-end energy and layered percussive textures that mirror the body’s internal clocks. Built around a subtly shifting groove and vocal stabs, Circadian Rhythms feels like a slow, magnetic build—drawing dancers into a trance-like state while keeping the energy in constant motion.

Next up is 'Monkey', introducing a more playful yet primal energy. Sharp percussive hits bounce off tribal-influenced rhythms, while a rolling bassline keeps the track grounded and functional. There’s an organic tension throughout, teasing the boundaries of control.

 The third track on the release is 'Present' - a deep cut that balances minimalism with warmth. A stripped-back rhythm, offering space for introspection without losing the kinetic drive.The playful synth keeps the track rolling and keeps the crowd hypnotised.

 Closing the EP is 'Zigzag' - a hypnotic workout filled with off-kilter rhythms, bouncing sequences, and shifting patterns that keep you guessing. Built for late-night sets and adventurous selectors, the track twists through unexpected turns while maintaining a relentless groove. It's a bold closer, full of character and tension.

Marisa Joyce is a Techno DJ based in Zurich, Switzerland – a passionate sound explorer whose heart beats in sync with the pulse of the underground. 
 
Her musical language is dark, minimal, and driving. Hypnotic patterns pull you inward, while groovy undertones create waves of release. Within her preferred tempo of 133 to 140 BPM, she weaves tension and flow into a raw, immersive experience that resonates far beyond the dancefloor. 
 
Rooted in the Swiss scene, Marisa has performed in some of Zurich’s most iconic venues – including Hive, Exil Club, Maag Event Hall, Kauz Club, and at the closing parties of Club Zukunft. She has also brought her energy to clubs in Lucerne, Basel, and Glarus. 
 
Though still early in her career, Marisa moves with intention – open to new challenges and driven by a quiet fire to grow beyond borders. 
 
Music isn’t just part of her life – it is her life force. While many genres inspire her, Techno is home: a place where she can lose herself fully, whether in the middle of a crowded dancefloor or behind the decks in the heart of the night.

Skydivers became a personal journey. Not just a release, but a snapshot of a period where I explored new sounds without overthinking, allowing instinct to guide me.

I didn’t want to follow a strict formula, I wanted to stay honest to what felt right, even if it wasn’t safe.”
