For Pan-Pot's second release on their new imprint they fall nothing short of what you would expect from the infamous duo.

"Grey Matter" is a stormer made especially for the intense peak time strobe lights of a dark sweaty club. The pulsing stabs and swelling bass in combination with the rolling hi-hats and shakers keep the energy flowing upward. 
Don't let the word grey in the title fool you, this track is more a burning red. Just like the deep ominous vocal says, "We're burning"!

On the flip side is "Substance“ and with this one, Pan-Pot showcase their vast knowledge of what tension can do on the dance floor. From beginning to end, it teases with builds that never quite go over the edge. Constantly increasing, it creates the desire for just a little more while never giving you the satisfaction of a resolution.

It's a concept that only masters can make work and when it does, it's nothing short of brilliant.

The affable young Chiati is a multi-instrumentalist who has banged, plucked and sung his way through childhood which, to be fair, wasn’t that long ago, having only recently turned 19. He likes music so much, he even decides to study it in the form of music technology and sound engineering before taking a year off to produce some real tracks for the world – and what a joy for the world. Except the tracks aren’t joyous, they’re ominous and dark, with basslines on this EP definitely hitting a pro gym membership, that’s how fit and punching their kicks are. But still with a vibrant touch that leaves you licking your fingers for more. And honestly, who doesn’t love a good licking?

Connaisseur Records releases its annual BBQ Techno compilation that is a musical accompany to dreamy summer days and nights. As usual the label introduces newly signed artists and their contributions to the label before the actual release of BBQ Techno Volume 7. One of the label's new signings is Czech producer Romain Rai who created a melodic, spheric cut, Psyma, with a rather downtempo vibe and manages to sub the synth sound patterns with slightly percussive elements. Psyma is one of these tracks that marks the transition between day and night almost resembling the sunset itself.

BT7 including Romain Rai's track Psyma will be out August 21st on Connaisseur Recordings.

A few years after graduating and some aliases later, his mind spawned Varaz, where freedom once again reigns and the canvas is blank. Like a skilful painter, Varaz mesmerizes with an exquisite palette of colours. Colours so intriguing, you'd stare at them for ages. 

Fully aware, Varaz stretches and bends his music, allowing it to speak and explore. He sustains it with fitting grooves, yet forever revealing things you missed in a previous round. Perhaps Álom will turn out to be an EP that reveals a surprising new detail every time you give it a listen. And it's on Moodfamily, no less.
