Born and raised in Turin, passionated by music and art, since his childhood Andrea started to buy vinyl records approaching music across all different genres (from new wave and post-punk to reggae and dub music).
His work is the result of years of musical identity research, of different experiments and continuous attention to techno evolution in the last decades.
In his productions Andrea tries to mix sundry elements related to 90s Breakbeat and IDM with excursion to warehouse techno and house. Turin city has a key role in his sound; its dark and post-industrial soul clearly emerges in every track. Emotive melodies and abstract sounds, heavy kicks and low-end drum, atmo-pads and chord progressions are the significant elements of his music.
Behind the decks and also in his live set, he creates an intense atmosphere with a mixture of effective dancefloor bangers and stepping rhythms.

Podcast #032 : Van Anh.

Amsterdam based devotee Van Anh is a DJ pur sang with over a decade of experience to her name, making her the respected artist we get to enjoy today. Her sincere love for digging, selecting and technical mixing oozes through every vessel of her body. Although her dedication has always been around, her musical odyssey seems to really have taken a turn since her transition to vinyl. This has not only opened doors to further developing her delicate taste in music but it has given her the chance to fade deeper into the electronic music spectrum.
The name 'Van Anh', which translates to 'clouds', fits her hypnagogic magnetic way of mixing like a glove, allowing her to withdraw from any fixed-genre sets and rather resonate to the sound waves of her liking. Very much like clouds, her sound takes on multiple shapes and forms varying from deep ethereal ambient to hard uncompromising techno. Never monolithic, what makes listening to Van Anh so enjoyable is the intricate way of combining all these sounds, bridging music from the past and the present.
That she knows how to shepherd an audience is underlined by her residencies at Den Haag based The Crave and Rotterdam based Transportbedrijf. The latter is a continuation of Perron, Rotterdam's underground hotspot that has welcomed some of the biggest names in electronic music. Whether it's a warming-up, the peak of the night or a closing set, she will seamlessly move you on the dance floor. Besides from having shared the stage with several heavyweights, Van Anh also hosts her own event in Rotterdam called ISOTOOP - a platform created to explore projects and experiment with sounds as she pleases. The concept is all about channelling new expressions of creativity further into the unknown, in a genuine attempt to open people's minds to new sounds.

Born in 1990. Originally from Kochi prefecture, now residing in Tokyo. He started organizing his own nights in 2011 where he honed his dj skills. Playing anything from classic to cutting-edge tracks, his smooth mixing brings a unique tension and intonation to the ﬂoor through individualistic loops. By gaining his reputation through his dj sets and an insatiable pursuit of the techno scene led him to play regularly in Osaka as well as various venues in mid and West Japan. 
As an organizer he has brought over many prevalent modern techno artists such as Claudio PRC, Ness, Luigi Tozzi and Refracted, in order to evolve the techno scene in Japan. In 2014 he moved to Tokyo where he linked up with his main partner Kannabi to start the techno party Katharsis. 
In recent years his music production skills have ﬂourished, hence, set up the label Katharsis Recordings. The ﬁrst release is sprit 12 from the Label founder Masafumi Take and Kannabi. Also include Iori and Takaaki Itoh remix. The Second release will be out in May on vinyl. 
He is recognized as the next generation to take up the techno mantle in Japan.

Recorded a set for @couleur3 and their tournee generale show. The channel opened up the world of electronic dance music for me and I still remember the tapes I used to record. Hope this one can contribute to this and maybe open up a world of music to some other listener.

~ About The Story ~

The Tepee - Even though I've never been Japan, i've always been fascinated by the Labyrinth Festival. I've watched and listened to hours of videos and recordings from that mystical place, especially from the Voices From The Lake live act. So when Monument asked me to play before half the duo, Neel, I knew that i'd play a special set to create a familiar atmosphere to Labyrinth. And here is the recording from the night, it's an hour and a half of dubby and atmospheric sounds, an imaginary immersion into the Japanese mountains, meant to dance and connect. - @vbcvibrance

The early 90’s was an interesting time for Opål, growing up in Berlin during the era where Love Parade was streamed live on TV, he spent his time listening through trance CDs in his cellar.

His early days were like those of many around him, with his introduction to music at venues such as the infamous (and now closed) Bar 25, and Rechenzentrum in South Eastern Berlin. Even though his interest in music has been longstanding and ever evolving...

Introspective, nostalgic and hypnotic. These are the adjectives that describe the sounds of the young Italian duo Primal Code. 
Gabriele and Davide come from Milano, a musically very active city to form artistically. They immediately jumped into the scene with slow melodies and sumptuous grooves found in their first EP "Eteru", released by Hypnus Record. Last January they reconfirmed themselves with the second EP "Artemisia", this time on Konstrukt, which is getting an excellent response. 
A lot of other their original tracks can be listened on “the Memoir” podcast series, where you can find a focus hour of their whole music.
A personal and musical experience emerges in the songs, creating an atmosphere in which all listeners’ senses are involved and projecting them into a sentimental level. Their music is an expression of a primordial instinct that dwells in all of us.
