this vocal-piano-heavy mix is about being in love. trying to cast and express the plurality of feelings i’ve been experiencing these last months. it starts with two prayers that allow myself to feel, deserve and welcome this love. it moves onto trancey desire, bumpy playfulness, hoppy needyness, bassy xtc and euphoric gratitude. 
this mix was hard to record tbh these tracks never fail to make my body rock to the beat, impossible to stay fully focused. 
hoping this can bring you some happiness and freedom, hoping you too are being loved <3

Bennet made their Body Language debut on 12.08, serving up an all-vinyl masterclass in the Queer and joyful roots of rave! 

Picture this: it’s 5:30 in the morning and you’re on a sexy, sweaty Body Language dancefloor. The crowd is a sea of smiles, and the dancefloor is literally dripping from the heat of the moment as Bennet traverses through oldskool house, early progressive house and trance, breaks, and early rave hymns.

Rooted in Hannover’s local scene, Bennet is part of the DJ-collective soft spot, co-founded the party series Buttercup and holds a residency at Weltspiele.

Bennet started mixing their favorite vinyls during lockdown, seeking for affects and energetic repercussions of the imaginative dance floor. Going all across the board, they always recur to the dancefloor’s utopian notions of togetherness and unity and political dimensions of the body.

Amsterdam, Paris, New York, London, Chicago and Mexico City are some of the places where LUKA has been spinning, besides his regular performances in renowned clubs and off-spaces in home-base Zurich. Podcasts for Rinse and Hör are to be followed with podcasts releases for IsBurning, Homodrop, Vitamine, Kiosk Radio and others in 2024.
