Inspiration for this track came from an old Ray Price song - not directly, but the vibe.  In the 50s and 60s there were lots of country songs about love letters, but who writes love letters anymore?  So what do the cool kids do - text (or Facebook msg).  And nothing is more annoying than when you KNOW someone has read your msg and not replied.  Even worse when it is a potential romantic interest.  Someone's probably already done a song like this somewhere, but this is my attempt at a Love Gone Wrong Song Circa 2016.

Note: Had a feeling recently that the humour in my songs may lead people to think I'm a parody artist.  I'm not, truly.  It's just that some of my favourite songwriters in the genre (John Prine, Kristofferson, etc) often wrote with a direct smile on their face or a feeling of black humour and that's what I'm attempting to tap into.  I don't think that I could write much with a totally straight face, which is probably why I don't often write songs for church.  But anyways...
