Die Romantic (Cover)

Oceana has been one of the most influential bands in my life. Their vocalist was supposed to have been aborted as a baby, but the abortion failed. Their whole album "Birth Eater" is about the psychological issues that go along with knowing that his mother tried to kill him, and his struggle to forgive her. 

This was a really challenging mix, but I did my best to do the song justice.

Oceana - The Family Disease (Instrumental Cover)

Tried out some new mastering techniques on this one. This is by far my favorite hip hop song. There are a lot of memories and a lot of emotion behind this one. I had to make the majority of the instruments from scratch in order to get them close to the original mix. I hope you guys enjoy it half as much as I enjoyed making it.

August Burns Red - Composure (Stems mix)

I had some free time and i've really missed music and mixing here lately. Not having much time to spend on anything but school and football has made me rethink my whole approach to mixing. One of my favorite engineers wrote a line in his blog this week that roughly said "All the little tiny tweaks that we spend so much time fine tuning are nothing but a waste of time. They don't make or break the mix." 

So, with this mix I opened up the session and made quick decisions. I didn't linger too long on any phase of the mixing/mastering stages. Sure, plenty of things could be changed and made better, but I did the whole thing in about an hour and a half. I'm fairly happy with the result. I hope you enjoy. :)

Xehanort-Shinigami (quick mix)

I've dealt with depression at different times in my life. I wrote this song during one of those times. I know that some days we will feel sad, but there's always another reason to be happy.
