Once love happens to you, it's hard to understand how you went without it before. This tune was written at the end of a long and lonely quarantine. The highlights are the arrangement, ukelele, singing, and lead guitar. The song has a lot to do with a big stepping stone in my life and I tried to reflect that musically. A live music video collaboration with a local brass band in the streets of Mexico City will be released in early September while working with local non-local press to promote it.

These Eyes

This is the closing song to the Leftovers EP, linking Luke’s new sound with his roots. Originally a stark, empty, and sarcastic poem about the passing of time (written 10 years earlier), it slowly matured into its current state of melancholic punk. Recorded in Mexico City featuring Apolo drummer Ivan Almanza, there are obvious nods to the punk revival of the early 2000s as well Beatles influences in harmony and structure.

Half Painted Canvas (Days Go By)

This is my first try at a tune like this (rap, politics, spanish), its been a stressful year politically speaking. Its pretty much done but I want to record it with real musicians (percussion and bass) and better takes. The beautiful and talented Cris Cavalcante collaborated with me on this one. Enjoy
