Here's the recording of my set, which was around 3pm at this beautiful peninsula on the river in the warm sunshine in Eugene, Oregon. It was more of a lounge atmosphere for the first part of the set (not dancy) and then people started dancing later in the set.

Vibes were AWESOME on this day, we are extra stoked on how this turned out. So grateful for my friends and nature!

Nightmares On Wax Boiler Room London DJ Set

I am so grateful to Robot Heart for inviting me to perform this set which was without doubt one of the most memorable experiences of my life. 

A few years ago, I was dancing as the sun rose over Robot Heart in total wonderment, in a state of total inspiration. During lockdown I recalled that feeling and got to work on two albums, Yin, a classical record and Yang an electronic one. 

Writing these two albums was my therapy during the pandemic, dreaming of a day I could connect with people again on the Playa. It’s just so wild, that the fantasy came true in the best way possible and I got to perform this set, transitioning from Yin to Yang with a special arrangement for the Robot Heart Sunset, opening with about 20 minutes of piano and sound bowls before the electronic beats kick in. 

In order to play the piano live here, I had my beloved Steinway sampled into a virtual instrument and it was a real thrill to be able to play with that sound on the playa!

Yin and Yang were recorded in 432 Hz tuning and are musical expressions of my musings about life, the universe and infinite consciousness. 

I’ve always been fascinated by this quote by William Blake, and it was ringing through my mind the whole of the Freeburn week, and especially during this performance. 

He wrote: “If the doors of perception were cleansed every thing would appear to man as it is, Infinite. For man has closed himself up, till he sees all things thro' narrow chinks of his cavern.” 

The view from atop the Robot Heart bus warmed my heart, the doors of perception were being cleansed by the beautiful souls in front of me, and I am infinitely grateful. 🙏🏽

Here is my set from EuDream's 2022 summer campout called EuJuice. My friends and I produced that event, very much immersed in nature in the woods and stars. 

It's got some unreleased tracks (including track one which I'm about to find a label for), half drum and bass and the rest is multi genre stuff.

Got at least a few unreleased tracks of mine in here and a couple that was the first time I ever played them... so fun! Upcoming releases with Dreaming Awake, Alien Breakdance, Uniting Souls, Activated, etc. 

I recorded the room as well so the sounds of the crowd hootin' and hollarin' are integrated into the set. 

This is an event we threw at The Big Dirty in Eugene. We are super grateful that it turned out to exceed our expectations <3 It had plenty of April Fool's day mischief as well!

3:30pm, outdoors in a super gorgeous desert with a big view of snow capped mountains. I was under the impression that the following act was going to be a downtempo act, so I planned a set accordingly. Then during my set I found out that it wasn't going to be a chill out set after me, so I picked much of this on the fly.  

Here’s my Moontribe story and quite how much of an impact MT has had on my life, music, other collectives I’m involved with, sound systems, etc. Happy 30 year anniversary to the legendary moontribe family!

From ‘98 to about ‘09 I basically didn’t know anyone who played and made music like me… some styles of melodic/psychedelic/deep/adventurous and experimental music. Some people call it weird but to me it’s not weird. It’s home, adventure, expanding, ever-changing, creative and bliss. Before I found out about Moontribe, I basically planned on being a Northwest weirdo in my adventures with this sound.

I heard of the mystical, highly respected and “secret” Moontribe for years but didn’t ever get a chance to go…then found some MT mixes which became favorites as I related so much. Treavor Moontribe/Treavor Moontribe started releasing some of my music and asked me to come play a MT reunion.

It felt like I found my long lost soul family. MT has been one of my biggest inspirations for music, etc. because of the open minded musical perspective at the gatherings, feedback I get from Moontribers in person and online, playing certain tracks I make that only work at MT, sustainable event production, locations interacting with nature, the high potentials of happiness from community/security/health, sound system capability, I could go on and on… I can’t thank the MT family enough for the massive amount of happiness and inspiration it has spread to so many people!!! 🙏🏻

Suduaya is a french guitarist and producer. After many years working on different bands (heavy metal, rap, ethno/world/fusion) he released in 2011 his first psytrance track on the Klopfgeister’s compilation “Stand up against gravity” (Iono Music). He joined Altar Records with his album “Dreaming Sun” (september 2011), followed by “Unity” wich came out in 2013. Many releases came up over the years on different labels, including BMSS Records, Y.S.E and recently Iboga Records.

Suduaya has been playing worldwilde, S.U.N. When I showed up to the stage is was a pleasant surprise to see thousands of people there at the opening ceremony for the festival.  I didn't know that ceremony was going to be on the stage I was performing at (Earth Stage, pic is shown), so this was an epic surprise. The ceremony was very powerful and moving and I ended up picking new songs of mine to start out my set about 60 seconds before I started playing music. AGR Sundazed Showcase @ Fire 20 in Fort Rock, Oregon.  I drove 8.5 hours to finally experience what I've heard about for decades, and was finally able to not only attend but contribute some Sunday Morning PsyBass vibes.  Super organized event and I feel blessed to have participated. The Funktion1 system we played on was top notch.  I haven't ever seen an asymmetrical array like that before.  MAN it sounded good. Thumped the soul.

This set was from 6-8:30pm. There was a break a half hour into it for a circle that happens with some discussion with the community, the only edit I made to this recording was to take out that part. I went into this event intentionally not knowing what songs I would play or in what order I would play them, I decided to pick them on the fly depending how how things felt in the moment. Eugene, Oregon (where this dance was) has stronger affinity toward vintage music than any place I can think of so I was trying to work that into this mix a bit. Huge thank you to the awesome people putting on Coalessence and to the dancers rocking that dance floor!

Luke’s dynamic live act includes playing a mixture of electronic and acoustic music while mixing in multiple live wind instruments and live drumming. His lifelong devotion to community dance medicine started at age 14 in 1998 when he started to DJ at northwest USA raveriffic events! He then started touring the world and releasing hundreds of songs released with a large number of the biggest labels in the world like Selador, Desert Hearts, Digital Structures, Dreaming Awake, Desert Trax, Booka Shade Music. 

This is deep piscean scorpio music, sprinkled with unusual sounds, unexpected twists, eclectic mix of global sounds, various tempos and grooves. It reflects stories of love-driven culture and open-minded ideas.  Depending on the crowd, the sets can vary from being pretty and uplifting to deep, dark, and primal, although they typically feature melodic and atmospheric textures infused with a lot of emotion.  Luke also has a functional (natural, root cause) medicine practice as this weaves so beautiful with dance and music medicine. He helps people heal frequent issues of the gut, metabolism and tiredness.
